This leads Puleng to start believing that Fikile could be her sister, kidnapped by a human trafficking ring at birth. Now a student of Parkhurst herself, Puleng secretly has DNA tests done to prove whether Fikile is, indeed, her missing sister. In the cliffhanger at the end of Season 1, Puleng reveals to Fikile that they are related.
