Duggar & Bates Families Help With Earthquake Recovery In Haiti
Fans of the Duggar and Bates families may know that some of the kids are a part of Medic Corps. Medic Corps is a non-profit organization that offers disaster recovery assistance. In the past, when hurricanes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters have struck, the Medic Corps have sent their volunteers to help out. The group went to Southern Louisiana after Hurricane Laura last year. Also in 2020, a tornado hit Jonesboro, Arkansas, and the Medic Corps pitched in then too.
In a new social media post, Medic Corps revealed that the Duggar and Bates kids are volunteering once again.

In a new Instagram post, the Medic Corps organization revealed that several members were on their way to Haiti to help out following the earthquake. The post reads, “The first MEDIC Corps response team is in Haiti now evaluating, assessing, and responding to the M7.2 earthquake that struck Haiti Saturday morning. The death toll is currently over 1,200.”
The organization also gives people an opportunity to donate via the website.
It looks like John-David Duggar, Lawson Bates, Nathan Bates, and Trace Bates are among those volunteering this time.
Medic Corps shares an update.
On Tuesday morning, the Medic Corps Instagram page uploaded a few photos of their team helping out in Haiti. In the photos, the Duggar and Bates kids can be seen providing medical care to those who are injured. The post reads, “Our team of emergency medical professionals have assisted in evacuating patients via air and distributing medical supplies. The death toll is currently over 1,400 with 6,000 injured. Pray for the team today as we continue to assess and respond after Tropical Storm Grace hit Haiti last night.”
In response to the recent updates from Medic Corps, fans of the two families, as well as the organization’s other followers, are leaving positive comments. They say they are praying for everyone in Haiti, as well as the Medic Corps volunteers. Some have made donations to the organization as well. They hope to see more updates as the group continues to help out.
The Bates family Instagram page commented on one post, writing, “We love y’all and are praying for your safety and praying that you’ll be a blessing to many!”
