‘The D’Amelio Show’: Hulu Subscribers Are NOT Here For This New Show
Recently, Hulu takes to their Instagram to share the news of a new show, The D’Amelio Show. Surprisingly, the streaming services subscribers don’t hold back their thoughts on the new edition to the streaming platform. Keep reading to find out why Hulu subscribers aren’t here for this new show.
Hulu subscribers clearly didn’t ask for The D’Amelio Show
The D’Amelio Show follows ‘the first family of TikTok’ as Entertainment Weekly describes the series. The EW report goes on to explain how the series will feature Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, “two sisters from Connecticut that have taken social media by storm.” At 16 years old, Chari became the most followed person on TikTok. Her sister, Dixie gains enough popularity that she gest a record deal with L.A. Reid. So, the girls’ parents move them to Los Angeles to pursue fame.
In the promo post, Hulu captions the picture with, “Felt cute, might drop #TheDAmelioShow later ✨ see you September 3.” One of the first comments on the post comes from the D’Amelio’s Instagram page. It says, “see you September 3 💕.”

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there are many people as excited as them. One comment even suggests that they need to read the room. Some of the comments expressing distaste about the D’Amelio’s new show on Netflix are below.
- “Are you kidding me?”
- “No thanks”
- “No hulu why”
- “just why”
- “it’s official we living in hell y’all”
What to expect from the new series
Earlier in the week, Hulu posts a trailer for the series on their Instagram. It begins with Charli introducing herself and letting people know that they may know her from TikTok. Then, her mom expresses that she doesn’t know how they got famous so quickly. After that, Charli explains that she and her sister, Dixie are best friends.
Then, the girls’ dad expresses that it was a risk to move to California. He mentions that they had a very happy life in Connecticut. After that, it looks like fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at what went down between Charli and Chase Hudson’s very public breakup.

Interestingly enough, neither Dixie nor Charli’s Instagram pages mention the upcoming release of their show to Hulu. Dixie recently celebrates her 20th birthday. So, both young ladies are posting about that.
