‘Below Deck Med’ Colin & Bobby Think Lexi Wilson Is Kind Of A Drag
Below Deck Med alums Bobby Giancola and Colin Macy-O’Toole are sharing their thoughts on this season. The two will spill more during Galley Talk. For now, the best friends sat down for an exclusive interview. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Bobby and Colin shared their thoughts on Malia White’s claims that Chef Tom Checketts cheated on her.
Boatmances don’t last. What also happens onboard these yachts is drama. This season is living up to it. Crew members who live in close quarters tend to get on each other’s nerves. But stew Lexi Wilson is on another level. She owns a burn book and says she becomes “Satan” whenever someone wrongs her.
Colin Macy-O’Toole says drunken arguments lead to bad things
In an interview with Us Weekly, the Below Deck Med alumni shared their thoughts on Lexi Wilson. They fear that her bad behavior will make for a difficult work situation. They did not hold back when it came to discussing her “abrasive behavior.” Lexi might end up being a drag if she does not go home.
The former beauty pageant contestant warned her crewmembers beforehand. They really got to know her attitude during a drunken crew night out. Lexi’s behavior upset everyone on board. She apologized during a crew meeting, but no one thought it was genuine.
“I don’t think anything good happens from a drunken argument or a drunken discussion about whatever [they] may be bickering about,” Colin said. “That never ends well.”
On the Monday, July 26 episode, Lexi argued with all of her crew members. The loss of her dad is what caused her emotional struggles. After arguing over a bill at the restaurant, Lexi and Malia fought in their cabin. The night only grew worse as they joined the others in the hot tub.
Lexi Wilson could end up dragging down the Below Deck Med crew
In the past Below Deck Med episode, Lexi ended up arguing with just about anyone. She also shoved her breasts into deckhand Lloyd Spencer’s face. Then she belittled the exterior crew, which upset Malia. Suddenly, Lexi ended up pushing Mzi “Zee” Dempers while trying to explain herself. Bobby has a feeling that Lexi will only drag them down.
“I mean, it’s really hard because there’s [different] stress levels going on,” Bobby explained. “I think Katie’s [Flood] doing great as well because I think she is trying to see all sides.”
While it’s clear that alcohol contributed to their fights, it’s important to deescalate the situation before it gets worse. Bobby called Lexi’s behavior “abrasive” and “toxic.” He feels that her grief is no excuse for the way she treated her crew members.
“Because it’s just going to bring the whole team down,” he added.
Captain Sandy Yawn wanted to give Lexi a second chance. Colin agrees with her decision, but that won’t happen again if she keeps up this behavior. In the following episode, Lexi admitted that she “wasn’t in the right headspace” during that night out. She’s trying to move on from that situation, but Malia doesn’t believe she was remorseful.
Below Deck Med airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
