Greg Grippo Unravels
There have been rumors online for months that Greg Grippo is on the show for fame. However, nothing that happened on-screen ever gave off red flags. That’s why what went down on the latest episode took viewers by surprise. The episode started off with Greg expressing his unease over Katie’s hometown date with Blake Moynes.
After his own hometown date, the wheels came off for Greg. He didn’t understand why Katie wouldn’t respond when he told her he was falling in love with her. For her part, Katie made a vow to herself not to drop the l-word to any of her suitors except the last man standing.
In an unconventional move, Greg went to Katie’s suite to get clarification on where they stood. When Katie again didn’t respond the way he wanted, Greg said he was quitting the show. We didn’t actually see him leave yet, so there’s a chance he’ll appear on the season finale.
Kaitlyn Bristowe went to Katie’s room to comfort her. When asked what she wanted to happen, Katie said she wanted to go home. Fans will have to tune in on August 9th to see how the season ends.
Did Katie Thurston Just Accuse Greg of ‘Gaslighting’ Her?
Many fans of the show were taken aback by Greg’s behavior. His outburst showed major red flags and Twitter exploded with accusations that he was ‘gaslighting’ Katie.
He was gaslighting you, blaming you, turning things around. If he walks away now when things are difficult ultimately, he would walk away again & again. You dodged a dysfunctional relationship- not evident until the last 20 minutes. Also, he may benefit from grief & loss work.

It seems that Katie might agree that Greg’s behavior was toxic. She took to her Instagram shortly after the episode aired to share a meme. “So you want to talk about gaslighting,” the post said. Katie didn’t elaborate on what she meant, but the timing made fans think she was implying Greg was gaslighting her during their argument.
Fans are divided over the fight. Was Katie cold, like Greg said? Or was Greg being manipulative? Let us know what you think about the Katie/Greg situation.

First off, yeah perhaps every person might of seemed it was a little off that Greg couldn’t handle it. But to give him credit, I blame the producers. Usually at this point the men don’t have to see each other. My question is, why were the producers so carless to allow home town dates to be in locations that the others could see the date happening??? I ask myself this, If you had been put in that position, wouldn’t you doubt a little? Who really wants to see the person they love out with someone else. To see them also having some chemistry and making kisses towards each others. I think the producers are trying to drum up drama and it is at the expense of people emotional well being.
Could greg not of been doughtful? Sure, if you are super human. But should he have ever been put in that position? Any person could feel stressed if they saw there person out at that stage in the relationships.

Katie should have been honest at that point with Greg ,instead of using him as a backup plan.
Greg was an absolute psycho, and was gaslighting Katie in a major way. She had been given him reassurance after reassurance from the very beginning – in fact, this is why I couldn’t stand Greg from the start – I thought he was an emotional insecure mess, and he just didn’t come across as a ” male catch” for Katie (or anyone…). Also, I don’t think connecting over loosing a parent was the best foundation for falling in love, because I was wondering if Greg was trying to emotionally manipulate Katie into feeling something and also if he was fully healed and ready to fall in love. I found what he did to Katie very triggering, and I know I was not the only one. So Katie – I wish you all the best with Blake, who I liked a lot! And Greg, I truly hope you get some proper therapy. He’s a needy man so will need a woman who can give him continue reaffirmations of his love all the time…in other words…it would be exhausting!!
