Jill Dillard Shades Josh Duggar, Shows Support For Simone Biles
As most people know, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles pulled out of one of her events at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics earlier this week. Due to her mental health, she decided to skip the event and will decide later whether she will compete in future events. After hearing why she backed out of the event, people voiced their opinions. Some supported her, while others sent negative comments toward her. One person who’s supporting Simone is Counting On alum Jill Dillard.
On Reddit, a few users found evidence that Jill is in support of Simone. In the same moment that Jill showed she’s siding with Simone, she also shaded her older brother, Josh Duggar. The eldest Duggar son will go to trial in a child sexual abuse material case in November.
Jill Dillard proudly supports Simone Biles’ decision.
On social media, Charlie Kirk publicly voiced his negative feelings toward Simone’s decision, writing, “Simone Biles just showed the nation, when things get tough you shatter into a million pieces.”
In response, someone else wrote, “New comment thread here for everyone who was abused as a kid and who has won 6 or more Olympic medals. I will listen to your criticisms of Simone.”
To this comment, Jill simply wrote, “Amen!” But this is enough to show that she’s in agreement with one of the comments on the post.
A few users are confused about Jill’s response and what she’s replying to. Some are concerned that she’s agreeing with Charlie Kirk’s negative viewpoint.
One Reddit user explains, “I looked and it sounds like she’s agreeing with a person that’s basically saying he will only listen to criticism of Simone Biles if that person doing the criticizing has also survived s*xual abuse AND won 6 medals. I think this is positive?”
It looks like Jill may be able to connect with Simone due to her own past. Duggar fans will recall that Josh molested several of his sisters, including Jill, as a teen. Sadly, Simone was one of Larry Nassar’s victims. Now, Larry Nassar is a registered s*x offender and was sentenced to 60 years in prison. Many people believe that Simone’s mental health concerns are related to her past abuse from her old gymnastics coach.
