Wissmanns & Duggars Have Been Friends A LONG Time: See Old Photo
Counting On fans are hearing more about the Duggars and Wissmanns lately due to courtship rumors. It looks like Jana Duggar is courting a man named Stephen Wissmann. And their relationship could be even further along than we realized since their wedding registry was recently leaked.
There are also rumors circulating that Jeremiah Duggar is courting Hannah Wissmann. So far, the Duggar family has yet to say anything about these possible courtships. While we still don’t know whether the rumors about Jana and Stephen or Jeremiah and Hannah are true, there’s more evidence that these courtships are actually happening.
How long have the Wissmanns and Duggars been friends?
An old photo from the Wissmann family’s Instagram page has resurfaced, giving more insight into Jana and Stephen’s courtship.
On November 25, 2014, the Wissmann family shared a photo on their Instagram page. Sure enough, the Duggar family is with them. In the caption, the Wissmann family writes, “We were blessed to be able to spend yesterday with our friends, the Duggar Family. What a joy! Their friendship continually ‘motivates us to love and good deeds’. (Heb. 10:24) ”
On Reddit, Duggar snarks are talking about the photo. One user points out that the families have even interacted on social media plenty of times. They write, “@DuggarFam themselves have been liking their posts for years.”
One user questions why Jana and Stephen are just now getting together. They write, “The fact that they have known each other for so long makes me wonder why it took til 2020 for Jana and Stephen to be an item. I wonder in the past that perhaps they had known each other for a while but the timing was never right because they were dating other people. Jana has always talked about how she has been in relationships and, although we don’t know Stephen that well, perhaps the same for him. I just wonder if they always had eyes on each other but the other was just with someone else.”
Another points out, “Jana said on the show that until recently, moving away from Arkansas was a dealbreaker for her but now she’s open to it. Maybe that’s why.”
While this doesn’t prove the courtship rumors are true for Jana and Stephen or Jeremiah and Hannah, it does show that it’s totally possible these pairs are courting. Since the families have known each other for years, it’s inevitable that a courtship would pop up.
