‘Y&R Spoilers : Who Kidnapped Mariah Copeland And Where Is She?

Young and the Restless Mariah Copeland Camryn Grimes

The Young and the Restless burning question these days is who kidnapped Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes)? Viewers know that she vanished without a word. She appeared to have sent texts but no one has spoken to her. That’s strange in itself, but the texts did not sound like her. She is almost certainly a victim of foul play. There would be no shortage of suspects in her disappearance. We will lay out the two suspects and why they could be her abductor.

Mariah’s past is not squeaky clean. Neither is her partner’s, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Anyone with a grudge against them could have snatched her. It is no secret that Mariah is Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) surrogate. Abby could also be the intended target.

‘Young And The Restless’ – Ben A Likely Villian. Or Is He?

The recent return of Abby’s ex Ben ‘Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) puts him on the top of the suspect list. Long-time viewers of the CBS soap know he was a medic in the military who was an army buddy of Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton). He has a mentally ill son who was responsible for the loss of Abby’s pregnancy when they were married. Stitch was seen weirdly starting at Mariah. Then she disappeared shortly after. The timing alone points to his guilt. What if there was another explanation for his strange behavior? Maybe Ben has not gone off his rocker and snatched pregnant Mariah for sinister reasons.

Coincidentally, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) was an MP in the army. It is possible that their paths crossed in their military days. Revising history on soaps is not unheard of. So Stitch may be an old friend of Chance. Even though he is deep undercover he may have heard disturbing news. If Abby’s husband had reason to believe the baby was in danger, he could have reached out to Stitch. What if Stitch is in town to keep an eye on Abby, Mariah, and the baby until Chance returns? Viewers know Chance left abruptly but could eventually come back just quickly as he left. Young and the Restless viewers would love Abby to finally have a happily ever after with the man that she loves.

Could Ian Ward Escaped jail and kidnapped Mariah?

Creepy, evil Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is a notorious villain on The Young And The Restless. Ray Wise played the cult leader who preyed on young girls. Mariah was sold to him as a baby and he raised her. That didn’t stop him from marrying her to extort money from Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). He was jailed for blackmailing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) who was a former cult member. That’s why alarm bells aren’t going off in Genoa City. But jails cannot hold uber villains forever in soapland. Genoa city needs a good villain to shake things up because Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) are definitely not on Ian Ward’s level quite yet. Soap fans love the drama and super villains bring it to the screen.

Ian would have multiple reasons for abducting Mariah. Abby is a Newman. He could want money in exchange for the baby. Or he could have a twisted obsession with Mariah and the baby. Young And  The Restless spoilers reveal Mariah’s whereabouts the week of July 26th. She is shown in a room frantic in next week’s preview. After weeks of worrying, we may finally get some answers. What do you think is Mariah being held by supervillain Ian Ward or was Stitch Rayburn sent by Abby’s hubby Chance as a guardian angel to her and their unborn child?
