Katie Morton Admits Mixed Feelings About Colton Underwood Coming Out
Bachelor in Paradise alum Katie Morton has some mixed feelings in regards to her ex-Colton Underwood. Katie made her Bachelor debut during Colton’s season of the show. She then appeared on BIP where she became engaged to Chris Bukowski. Their engagement didn’t last long before they called it off. Now, Katie is spilling her feelings about Colton coming out as gay and also about her new relationship. What has she been feeling?
Katie Morton shares mixed feelings
US Weekly shared what Katie had to say about her emotions when Colton Underwood announced he’s gay. First of all, Katie remains pretty tight with Cassie Randolph. Of course, fans of the show know Colton chose Cassie at the end of his season. The two were together for more than a year before things went south for them. Then, Colton was accused of stalking Cassie and even planting a tracking device on her car. Cassie’s restraining order was terminated when she and Colton reached a private agreement.
As for Katie, she said Cassie is doing great. She said, “Cassie, I know, is doing great. She seems very happy. She’s noticeably moved on.”Katie continued, “With the news that came out about Colton, I was torn between feeling relieved and happy for him to be free to be himself and also angry with him for not treating my friend the way she should be treated and for putting her through what she went through.”
Katie also shared her feelings about Colton’s situation. She said, “I was very torn in that situation because there was part of me that was saying, ‘Not fair, how dare you? I can’t believe you.’” She continued, “And then there was part of me that was saying, … ‘[It’s] starting to make sense how conflicted you must have been, how I feel for you.’ So I definitely was torn. But at the same time, good for him for moving on and owning who he is.”
Her new relationship
Katie has also moved on from her past relationship with Chris. She is now dating and is very happy. Katie is dating James Rowe. She’s very happy with him. However, she says she isn’t rushing anything. Katie feels James could be the one but wants to make sure before they take it to the next level.
Katie said she wants her second engagement to last and not fail. So for now, she and James are taking it slow and enjoying dating.
