Tammy Slaton Disappears, Pulls Plug On Social Media: Is She Dead?
Tammy Slaton disappeared and pulled the plug on nearly ALL of her social media accounts leaving 1000-Lb. Sisters fans wondering if the TLC personality might be dead. Is Tammy Slaton dead? Unfortunately, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time this question circulated on media outlets and in 1000-Lb. Sisters fan groups.
Technically, there was even a time where Amy Halterman had the fan base convinced her sister was dead as she collected money to pay for funeral and other arrangements. Both Amy and Tammy Slaton have been dragged by fans many times for scamming them over this incident.
Tammy disappears from most social media platforms: Is she dead?
If you do a search for Tammy Slaton on TikTok or on Twitter you are not going to find her. Unsurprisingly, this caused some fans to panic. Where did she go? Now, if you do a search on Instagram you will still find Tammy Slaton’s active Instagram account. She, however, did change her handle. So, if you are trying to find her by her old handle it is going to come up as the page being unavailable.
Her new Instagram handle is called: @iamtammyslaton. Now, in addition to changing her handle, she also wiped her Instagram clean. She deleted everything she had ever posted on the account.
Her Instagram account being changed and wiped clean only further had fans questioning if she might be dead.

Now, five hours ago, Tammy Slaton did take to her wiped Instagram account. She shared a couple of photos of herself. She also used the photos to update her profile picture.
”Bright as the sun, dark as night.’ People fail to see the true me. I am MS. SLATON!” Tammy penned in the caption of her post.
Her newest update and only social media post presently features the two pictures found down below:
The post has been liked over 16,000 times with over 1,000 comments in just five hours. 1000-Lb. Sisters fans were all over the place with their reactions to this confusing social media stunt. Mostly, many wanted to know why she deleted TikTok, Twitter, and wiped her Instagram clean.
Now, this latest Instagram update does affirm that Tammy Slaton isn’t dead. But, it fans are still pretty worried about her given her decision to pull the plug on all her social media profiles.

If this story is true, it is probably a publicity stunt to keep fans in limbo. When the show comes back, we will most likely see that she has lost 100 or more pounds.

They have said in the show many times how the negative comments have depressed them. It could be that the comments have taken a toll and Tammy just needed a break from all of it. I have gone to no longer looking at my social media accounts anymore and I’m a normal person. Twitter is toxic, Facebook is fake, instagram is full of models that over edit their photos so, as a person who is trying to see the positivity in life and everything around them WHY would they subject themselves to that? There are times a break is needed. Yes, people who care get worried, BUT, Tammy has a publicist that can answer questions. People like me, I have family members who can do the same. If an individual is trying to get a better perspective on life (and perhaps even a diet) maybe they don’t want the negativity weighing them down.
