Katie Thurston Hangs Out With John Hersey
Bachelorette and TikTok sensation Katie Thurston had a fun weekend hanging out with her friends. One of her friends just so happens to be John Hersey. Viewers will recognize him as one of her suitors on Season 17 of the dating show.
In addition to John, Katie was hanging out with Stephen Lovegrove, AKA ‘America’s Life Coach’. The three were spending time together in San Diego, California. Katie is rumored to be moving to California, though some suspect she may be heading up north instead.
John Hersey Once Rumored Final Pick
As Season 16 kicked off in June, blogger Reality Steve started doling out spoilers. One of his early spoilers was that John Hersey was in the final three. With that in mind, Bachelor Nation lost their minds when Katie Thurston visited John’s place of work in San Diego. He is a waiter at Duke’s La Jolla.
Fans were shocked that Katie Thurston would spoil her own season. Eagle-eyed followers spotted John Hersey taking an order at the table behind Katie.

Katie Thurston: From Bachelorette to Wingwoman
Despite not giving John Hersey a rose, Katie seems to have sparked a life-long friendship with her ex. During their weekend hangout, Katie Thurston tried to hook her former romantic prospect up with someone new. She posted a cute video on her Instagram Stories of John Hersey. In the caption, she encouraged her single followers to hit up John Hersey in his DMs.
It’s unclear if any of Katie’s followers took her advice and slid into his DMs.
