Wait, Were Some Of The Duggars Excluded From Jed & Katey’s Wedding?
Jed Duggar and Katey Nakatsu tied the knot on April 3, and now, their wedding video has come out. Fans are excited to watch the video and get to know the couple better. Leading up to their wedding, fans knew very little about Jedidiah and Katey. The pair never announced their courtship or engagement, but the proposal video and wedding invitations were leaked.
When Jedidiah announced that he and Katey had gotten married, he talked about their private relationship. He wrote, “We have enjoyed quietly developing our relationship over the past year and every moment together has been amazing!”
While watching the video from the happy day, fans couldn’t help but notice that some of the family members weren’t present. Even when the family gathered for a group photo, the missing people aren’t seen. So, who all is missing from the video, and what might have happened?
Were these Duggar sisters not invited to Jed and Katey’s wedding?
In a commentary video, Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball points out that Jessa Seewald and her family aren’t anywhere in the wedding film. Additionally, Jana Duggar seems to be missing.
Interestingly, Jessa did share an Instagram post on her brother’s wedding day, but it’s of Henry sleeping on the couch at home. So, she could have attended the wedding and shared that post from another day. It’s possible that Jessa and Ben attended the ceremony. But they may have left early due to their kids’ nap schedules or something else going on that day. Jessa is also expecting her fourth child, so maybe she wasn’t feeling well and had to skip the wedding or left early.
In the past, Jana has been involved in the planning process for some of her siblings’ weddings. So, she could have been busy with organizing the behind-the-scenes details. This may explain why she missed out on some of the photos and videos.
Since the wedding was in Arkansas and Jana and Jessa both live in the state, they wouldn’t have had to travel far to attend the ceremony. The Duggar family hasn’t offered an explanation for Jana and the Seewald family not being in the photos or videos we’ve seen so far.

Jessa and Jana could have been in the receptionist area getting things ready. I really don’t care who was there. I just enjoyed watching the marriage of those 2. This is their life. They should be able to live it how they want. I just wonder who the pregnant person was that was in the wedding and it looked like she wasn’t even paying any attention. What was going on there? Other than that, I could careless who was and who wasn’t there. The wedding was beautiful. I like how they did the grape juice and bread for the wedding. What a good wedding it was.
