Tori Roloff Shares Depression, As She Leans On God To Get Through
Little People, Big World fans better have a tissue ready for tonight’s episode. Make that a whole box of tissues. Tori Roloff’s pregnancy and then devastating miscarriage begins playing out, starting with the episode airing on July 13. In an emotionally raw post to her social media, she shares an update on her mental health and her journey to have another baby.
Tori Roloff Suffered Miscarriage in Early 2021
In early 2021, Tori Roloff found out that she was expecting baby #3. She is already mom to Jackson, 4, and Lilah, 1.
Before she could share the happy news with her fans, tragedy struck. In March, Tori and Zach Roloff shared the heartbreaking news that Tori had suffered a miscarriage. So, for now, the Roloffs are still a family of four, plus fur baby Murphy.
Emotional LPBW Episode Arc Starts July 13
Tori Roloff didn’t get a chance to share her good news with fans of the show. But based on a sneak peek of the July 13th episode, she told her in-laws. At the beginning of the clip, Tori sneakily says to Zach that she doesn’t think anyone suspects anything. In the clips following, the would-be grandparents are given surprise Valentine’s Day presents that seem to reveal the baby news. Caryn and Matt, as well as Amy and Chris, are delighted by the news of another grandchild.

The next few episodes in Season 22 will be bittersweet for Tori Roloff. She took to her Instagram before the episode aired to warn fans, and also share her thoughts. Alongside a photo of a field, she began the long missive with the words, “Today’s hard.”
She went on to explain that the episode airing later that night is “the hardest story I’ve ever had to tell.” She makes it clear that it will be worth it if one person is helped by her story. But, still, “It’s so dang hard.”
Struggle to Conceive
The LPBW star is still hopeful to have a rainbow baby after her devastating miscarriage. However, it isn’t happening as easily as she – or others – expected. In a vulnerable moment, she revealed in her Instagram post that she found out that she’s still not pregnant again. “[…] another month of waiting. […]of praying. Another month of telling friends and family, ‘not yet.’,” she shared.
While other women may get pregnant with their rainbow baby quickly, that’s “not our reality,” Tori said. For now, her little family of four gives her comfort, as does her faith.
She has a new perspective after her pastor’s Sunday sermon. Her pastor reminded her that “God leads us in a way that makes us dependent on Him.” However, that doesn’t mean life won’t be painful. Rather, “It means that His powers are bigger than our pain.”
For now, Tori will continue to be “fully dependent on God” but also pray for another baby someday. In the meantime, she is “giving thanks for the small things.” She ends her lengthy post by thanking others for sharing their experiences with miscarriage with her.
Tonight’s episode of Little People, Big World will surely be a mix of happy and sad emotions – for Tori and for viewers.
