‘NCIS Hawaii’ Stars Vanessa Lachey In A Franchise First
NCIS Hawaii is gearing up to join the NCIS franchise. Recently, Vanessa Lachey takes to her Instagram to give some insight into how things are going for her. Keep reading to find out more about the leading lady’s thoughts on NCIS Hawaii.
CBS adds NCIS Hawaii to their collection of NCIS shows
NCIS Hawaii joins the CBS lineup in the fall. It seems customary that shows filming in Hawaii kick things off with a traditional Hawaiian blessing reports TV Series Finale. The outlet reports that the ceremony included an Oli Aloha (welcoming chant) and a Pule Ho’oku’u (closing prayer). In attendance were some major players of the cast and the producers.
Vanessa Lachey takes to her Instagram to share some of her gratitude and thoughts about NCIS Hawaii. In the caption of the photo, she introduces her character – Jane Tennant. According to Express, Tennant is “the first female Special Agent in charge of the new law enforcement agency.”
From the looks of her Instagram caption, that’s not a role she takes lightly. Vanessa Lachey seems very appreciative of this opportunity. In the photo, she also introduces “the man behind the lens,” Larry Teng. Teng is the Director/Producer of NCIS Hawaii. Luckily for fans wanting to know more about the NCIS spinoff, Teng’s Instagram includes a lot of behind-the-scenes photos from the series.

Next, Vanessa Lachey expresses her gratitude towards the cast and crew. “Top to bottom this cast and crew are exceptional! The Aloha spirit is taking us over and I can’t WAIT for you guys to see this show!” She goes on to write, “I wish I can Thank EVERY person (and I will get to them over time), but first, I want to give a shout out to THIS guy!”
After that, Lachey goes on to write things that truly show how appreciative she is of this opportunity. “Thank You [Larry Teng] for believing in me day 1 and for bringing this character to life! I trust You, I appreciate You, I Love YOu. Ohana for life!”

Unfortunately, there is no official word on the premiere date of NCIS Hawaii. However, multiple sources are claiming that it will be a part of the CBS fall lineup. Whether or not the network will kick off with the series is yet to be told. There is potential that CBS will hold off the premiere until the mid-season.
