Jessa Seewald Makes HUGE Decision After Birth Complications
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are preparing for the birth of their fourth little one very soon! The baby will join Spurgeon, 5, Henry, 4, and Ivy, 2. Until recently, the family hadn’t shared too many updates about Jessa’s pregnancy and the upcoming birth. But now, she has a little bit more to share with fans. So, what has Jessa decided to do?
In a new YouTube video, Jessa answers the most-asked pregnancy questions she’s received. Fans wanted to know about the baby’s gender, how her pregnancy is going, and more. In the video, the Duggar daughter reveals her birth plan for her fourth baby, and it’s a bit shocking to fans who have followed her for years.
In the video, Jessa says that she and Ben have given this a lot of thought, but they are going to have a hospital birth this time. She has had three home births, so this is pretty unexpected. She says it will be “different,” and she has some mixed feelings about it all.
Then, she goes on to explain that she hopes she’s able to labor how she wants to. At home, she’s able to walk around, relax, and be in her own space. She’s glad that the hospital has epidurals, and she will probably end up getting one if she gives birth at the hospital. Jessa also says that she will be able to have her mom and Ben at the birth. She has a “great doctor and a great doula.” She’s already preparing by getting her birth bag ready to go.
Jessa Seewald’s birth complications
In the past, Jessa’s births have gone smoothly. After her kids’ births, she experienced some scary health issues. In the video, she mentions that she has had postpartum hemorrhaging twice after Spurgeon’s and Ivy’s births. This then required her to be transferred to the hospital to receive care, including Pitocin.
Jessa explains that in some other states, midwives are able to carry and administer Pitocin, but this isn’t an option in Arkansas. So, to save them the trouble of potentially being transferred from home to the hospital, Jessa and Ben have opted for a hospital birth.
So, what do you think of Jessa Seewald’s plan for her upcoming birth? Are you excited to “meet” baby Seewald number four? Let us know in the comments below.
