Zach & Whitney Bates’ Baby Heads To The NICU – Is He Okay?

As we reported Wednesday, Zach and Whitney Bates’ new baby has arrived! The couple confirmed the news exclusively to Us. They shared that their fourth child, a boy named Jadon Carl, was born earlier this week. Baby Jadon joins three older siblings, Bradley, 6, Kaci, 4, and Khloe, almost 2.

At birth, the new addition weighed 6 pounds and 7 ounces. The proud parents said, “After months of waiting on this special day to arrive, we are rejoicing to finally meet our sweet Jadon face to face. There’s no way to describe the feeling and emotions we felt when we first held him in our arms. He is perfect in every way.”

So far, none of the Bates family members have posted on social media about the new baby. Due to Covid restrictions, it’s possible that no one has been able to visit them in the hospital yet. So, hopefully, the rest of the family will get to see Jadon soon. Unfortunately, he might be spending a little bit longer in the hospital.

Also in their interview with Us, Zach and Whitney revealed that Jadon spent some time in the NICU. They said:

“Shortly after [Jadon’s birth], his O2 levels dropped and he was transferred to NICU at East TN Children’s Hospital. As of right now, he is stable and responding well to treatment. They will continue treatment and monitoring until he is strong enough to come home. We are so grateful to God for taking care of our little boy and thankful for the doctors and nurses working hard to get baby J healthy and ready to meet his big brother and sisters. Life doesn’t always go as planned, but we’re thankful we can trust in the Lord with confidence that His plan is always perfect.”

So, it sounds like Jadon is going to be okay and will be able to go home from the hospital soon. The family seems to be very thankful for the new little one and his health and they can’t wait for him to meet the rest of the family.
