Katie Bates Talks Wedding Plans & Reveals When She Will Tie The Knot
It’s almost time for Katie Bates and Travis Clark to tie the knot! The pair got engaged in Florida during a sweet, intimate proposal in April. Now, wedding planning is underway.
As we previously reported, Katie went dress shopping with her mom and some of her sisters. She found “the dress” and is getting closer to being ready for her big day. Now, she’s working on the rest of the details. Along the way, she’s been sharing hints on social media.
A few weeks ago, she shared the gifts she gave her bridesmaids to ask them to be a part of her special day. On her Instagram stories, she revealed who her bridesmaids are. They include:
- Josie Bates Balka
- Carlin Bates Stewart
- Alyssa Bates Webster
- Addee Bates
A couple of Katie’s friends will be her bridesmaids too.
In a new Instagram post, the Bringing Up Bates star is sitting on her bed with a wedding planner notebook in her hands. She writes, “Wedding planning has officially begun, and I’m enjoying every moment!” In the comments, fans are giving her a few suggestions to make the process go more smoothly.
Katie Bates answers wedding questions
Katie recently had a Q&A session on her Instagram stories. Of course, most of the questions are about the wedding. Her followers want to know all of the details, so she took some time to answer them.
In one of her responses, she shares that she’s getting married in December, but doesn’t share the specific date. In another response, she says that Willow, Josie’s daughter, is her flower girl. Katie has several nieces who are the right age to be her flower girls, so it’s unclear why she chose Willow over everyone else. For example, Alyssa, Carlin, Whitney, and Erin all have daughters who could be flower girls.
Katie adds that their wedding colors are black and white, but she doesn’t say what color the bridesmaids are wearing. It’s possible they will be wearing those colors though.
As for Katie and Travis’ plans after the wedding, they will be moving to New Jersey. Most of the Bates kids live in Tennessee with a few exceptions. She says that Travis is in the process of renovating their new home.
