Chrisley Knows Best fans are cautiously optimistic that their favorite reality television show is making its return to USA Network sooner rather than later. Weekly, Todd and Julie Chrisley take to their podcast, Chrisley Confessions to give an update about their family’s lives and to answer fan questions. Keep reading to find out what relationship advice Todd Chrisley gives on this week’s podcast

Chrisley Knows Best Todd Chrisley dishes out relationship

This week’s episode of Chrisley Confessions begins with Todd and Julie sounding like they’re in a better than usual mood. Todd jokes that there weren’t any shower issues this morning. Julie confirms that there weren’t any arguments the morning. True to the couple’s notorious banter, Todd says “the day is still young.”

Next, Todd explains that he got up early and spent time in prayer. He also listened to some pastors. This leads him to talk about relationships. He gives the example of being in a bad marriage. Then, he inquires, “What was your participation in that bad marriage?” The other side of the coin is saying that “you had no participation,” which Todd views this scenario as not being present in the marriage. Consequently, that could be one of the issues.

Todd shares that he’s explained the concept to Chase, Savannah, and Kyle. “When you’re in a relationship, it takes two. And pride is the loneliest companion you can have,” says Todd as he imparts his wisdom to the podcast’s listeners. Interestingly enough, this next part comes in the shadows of rumors that Chase Chrisley and Emmy Medders have split up. Todd recounts recently “giving counsel to one of our wayward children.” “If you know that you’re wrong in something, then pride shouldn’t play a part in it. You should be man enough or woman enough to step up and say ‘I was wrong in that.’” After that, Todd encourages his child to apologize and even admits that this is something that he has to do.

‘We are prisoners of the life we create.’

Ultimately, the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch says  that “we are all prisoners of the life that we create.” The seemingly simple solution to this is to take ownership of your actions. Todd and Julie Chrisley agree that even though some things are out of your control, “once you’re aware of it, you need to take action to turn to the ship around.”
