‘Unexpected’ Alums Tylor Strawmyer & Laura Barron File For Divorce
A couple from TLC’s Unexpected has officially called things off. Laura Barron and Tylor Strawmyer have now filed for divorce. Things have been rocky for the pair for a while now, but it seems like they finally hit a breaking point.
As Starcasm reports, Tylor filed for divorce on May 3, per court records. The first hearing will be on July 12 and will be held via Zoom due to the pandemic. They secretly got hitched in July 2018, so their marriage lasted just under three years. The couple split sometime last year but attempted to reconcile late in 2020.
Since the hearing is still a couple of months away, it’s unclear how custody of the kids will shake out.
For a while, it was looking like these two would be the only successful couple on the show, but now, that’s not the case. It’s not obvious what led to their split, but being parents to two little kids couldn’t have been easy on them, especially when they are still young themselves.
Who are Tylor Strawmyer and Laura Barron?
You may not remember who Laura and Tylor are. The pair was featured on Season 2 of the show. They experienced many ups and downs in their relationship but ended up tying the knot. They have since separated, and that’s how they got to where they are today.
The couple shares Lucas, 3 years, and Leo, 18 months. Sadly, Laura suffered a miscarriage in 2020 shortly after announcing she was pregnant with her third child.
On social media, both Tylor and Laura share frequent posts, including photos of their two sons. Since they’re no longer on TLC, fans have enjoyed keeping up with them on social media. It’s possible they will share less often as they navigate their divorce. So far, neither have them posted on social media about the divorce. You can find Laura’s page here and Tylor’s here. Noticeably, Laura’s bio states that she’s a “single mom of two boys.”
On Father’s Day in 2020, Tylor shared a snap of himself with the kids and wrote, “My motivation for everything sits in these two kids right here. Miss you guys.”
