Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo’s Readers Say Book Is ‘Boring’ & A ‘Money Grab’
As we previously reported, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo recently released their first book, The Hope We Hold. The book is all about the couple’s lives and the hope they have in God. This is the same name they gave their podcast, which is currently on a break.
Since Jinger and Jeremy announced that they were writing a book, fans and critics have shared a mixed response. Some were excited, while others thought they were looking for a new way to make money. Right now, the fate of Counting On is unknown since no renewal announcement has been made yet. So, perhaps the couple was preparing for the show to end.
Some fans looked forward to reading the book and learning more about the pair’s journey. Others accused them of using the family’s name to sell their book. They argue that the book wouldn’t have been published and become popular if the pair hadn’t grown a platform from Jinger’s family’s TLC fame.
What do readers have to say?
Now, there are many book reviews from readers on Amazon. Some of them aren’t very positive though.
One Amazon user writes, “90% of this book has already been shared on TLC, in magazine interviews, on the podcast, etc. Some chunks of writing directly quote what we’ve already seen on the show. Don’t waste your time – they remain as vague and mundane as always.” Another reader writes, “In the end, it feels like a money grab by them before the Duggar empire collapsed.”
Many other reviews reveal that the book is “boring,” and that it doesn’t contain anything new.
Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo’s book receives positive reviews too
Not all of the reviews of the book are negative. The book actually has 4.5/5 stars on Amazon and over 100 reviews. In the reviews on Amazon and the comments on the couple’s Instagram posts, plenty of readers are praising them for sharing their stories. Many fans of the couple appreciate their wisdom and insight.
The book’s description reads, “In The Hope We Hold, Jeremy and Jinger Vuolo share the highs and lows of their love story. They open up about the early days of getting to know one another, their long-distance relationship, and the many sleepless nights of their time as new parents. But throughout all their stories, just below the surface, weaving together every triumph and trial of their lives, is the silver thread of hope.”
From the reviews, it looks like some fans think the book accomplishes what the couple hoped it would.
