Kaitlyn Bristowe Looked But Didn’t Find Her Forever on The Bachelorette
Kaitlyn Bristowe searched for love on both The Bachelor & The Bachelorette. While she did end up engaged to her final rose pick, it didn’t last. She split up with Shawn Booth in late 2018.
Bristowe met Jason Tartick when he was a guest on her podcast that same year, they didn’t have their first date until early 2019. They’ve been together ever since. While Jason Tartick is also part of Bachelor Nation, the two had never crossed paths until the podcast.
He was a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.
Rumors of a Ballroom Proposal
As Bristowe & Tartick’s relationship went on, the pressure for an engagement was off-the-charts. The former Bachelorette competed on Season 29 of Dancing With The Stars.
As she got closer and closer to the finale, rumors exploded that Tartick might propose during the show. Those rumors never came to pass, as Kaitlyn Bristowe preferred a more “intimate” proposal. And she finally got it!
How Did He Finally Pop the Question?
As fans know, the couple lives together in Nashville, Tennessee, with their two dogs, Ramen and Pinot. Bristowe hosts her own podcast. Her now-fiance used the podcast as a cover for a long-awaited proposal.
Entertainment Tonight shared exclusive details about how Tartick popped the question. Under the ruse of a surprise podcast guest, her man made his move. After telling her that the podcast wasn’t happening, he surprised her by pulling out a ring box hidden in a drawer.
Bristowe told the outlet that she was a little embarrassed because of her “inappropriate” attire. She was wearing a t-shirt that said “Tequila for Breakfast.”
The proposal went down on Monday, May 10. But the couple basked in their private moment for a day before they broke the news. They both shared snapshots of the proposal on their respective Instagrams. While he captioned his post with a sweet missive about finding his forever, she was still in shock. “Pinch me,” she wrote in the caption.
