Now that the Covid restrictions are lifted, The Grand Tour trio is back at it. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and, James May are at Beachy Head filming a new episode. What do we know about the upcoming episode?
In addition, what is the latest on Amazon dropping the Scotland episode?
The Grand Tour Is Filming In Beachy Head
On Tuesday, The Grand Tour started filming a brand new episode in Beachy Head. Fans of the Amazon Prime show should feel a lot of joy knowing that the former Top Gear trio is back at it.
According to Sussex Live, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and, James May were in the East Sussex area. They were “spotted” at Beachy Head, a spectacular location. This is the highest chalk sea cliff in the U.K., with stunning views of the iconic cliffs.
Richard and Jeremy were seen inside of a 1972 Citroen SM. Film crews and a helicopter were busy filming the vintage car.
Where was Captain Slow? The shaggy-haired, and fully bearded James May was hanging with crew, wearing an orange puffer coat.
Is the whole episode being filmed here? It does not look like it?
The Grand Tour Filming In Other U.K. Locations
Last Friday, The Grand Tour trio was in Crickhowell, South Powys, Wales. According to Grand Tour Nation, it looked as though Richard Hammond was driving a Renault Scenic. However, he was having some aggression issues trying to put that vehicle into a parking spot.
Next, the team filmed at the Leamington Spa of Warwickshire. Here the trio each drove some pretty spectacular French cars in that gorgeous countryside. Jeremy looked to be a Citroen CX station wagon. Switching from his Renault, Richard Hammond now drove Talbot-Matra Murena sports car. Lastly, James May drove a Renault Avantime MPV.
Although the topic of this episode is unclear, fans will not care. They are finally filming a new one!
How cool is this – Clarkson, Hammond and May were spotted filming what can only be an episode of The Grand Tour at Beachy Head today. That car!! 😍https://t.co/YGs1JH0NPQ

When Will Amazon Drop Scotland Episode?
Last fall, during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, The Grand Tour spent nine days filming in Scotland. They focused on the Outer Hebrides, with the trio driving vintage American cars. There was even a time that they drove caravans (camper trailers) as well.
However, there is no information on when Amazon will drop this episode. We do know that it will be shorter than the Madagascar episode by a half hour. Yet, this one-hour Scotland episode should be quite welcome to gearheads who have waited way too long for episodes.
Back in 2019, Clarkson, Hammond and, May announced that they would no longer be doing their tent portions of the show. Instead, they would focus on travelogues with cars. They managed to film The Grand Tour: A Massive Hunt, right before the world shut down due to the worldwide pandemic.
But, their highly anticipated Russia trip in March 2020 never happened, despite prepaying for everything. Grand Tour Producer Andy Wilman joked that “there is no word for refund in Russian,” they do plan on doing that trip.
Maybe in 2021?
