Todd Chrisley Encourages People to Find A Common Ground
While the latest season of Chrisley Knows Best may be over, that doesn’t mean fans don’t get to hear from the Chrisleys. Weekly, Todd and Julie get together for their podcast, Chrisley Confessions. During this podcast, they give listeners an update about what is going on in their lives. Later in the episode, they respond to fan messages left on the podcast voicemail. In the most recent episode, Todd talks about bringing everyone together. Keep reading to find out more.
Chrisley Knows Best Todd Chrisley discusses some heavy topics
During a recent episode of Chrisley Confessions, Todd Chrisley discusses some heavy topics. He begins by saying, “There is so many other things going on in our country right now.” Ultimately, Todd sounds defeated as he shares that it is “really hard to listen to the news anymore.” However, he offers a solution on how he works to combat that. “So I try to limit the amount of information that comes into my mind. And I also am very selective about the sources of that information,” shares the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch. “Pay attention and know what’s going on around you,” encourages Todd.
As Chrisley fans know, Todd Chrisley will jump to advocate for anything he believes in. He proves this when he tells listeners that, “You’ll never be heard unless you speak out.” Next, Todd imparts some wisdom to his podcast listeners. He shares that he tells this to his kids, and even his mother, Nanny Faye. “You don’t get to complain if you haven’t stood up for something,” explains Todd. However, he doesn’t just leave it at that. He goes on to give examples of situations that this is relevant. “So if you didn’t go and vote, you don’t get to complain about who is the President today. If you didn’t stand up against, you know, racial issues, or bad things that happen in the country.” He also gives the source of the problem. “If you sat by and did nothing, then you are a part of that problem.”

Todd advises not to pick a side, pick the center.
Additionally, from Todd Chrisley’s perspective, he shares that “we’re in a state of flux right now.” He feels that everyone is too concerned about what “the other side” is going to say/feel if they speak up. “Don’t worry about picking a side. Pick the center. And the center should always be the truth,” explains Todd. According to Todd, if you “stand with that, the rest will fall into place.”
Next, Todd shares with Julie and listeners about a study he was watching. The reason for this is to explain why he says “it doesn’t matter if you’re liberal or conservative.” According to Todd, the point of the study is to bring everyone together. However, there is a caveat – you cannot discuss politics. After hearing this, Julie chimes in with, “I think it’s to find a common ground that does not involve politics.” Julie goes on to explain that there’s always a common ground “if you invest the time and energy.”
