Tammy Slaton Shares ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Season 3 Update: Is It Happening?
The Season Finale of 1000-Lb. Sisters airs this week and fans already want to know if Season 3 of the series will happen. Unfortunately, TLC fans know how the network is when it comes to renewing just about any of their shows for another season. Sometimes, TLC just drops the bomb of a new season on TLC viewers shortly before the new season premieres. So, it could be a while before we get any kind of confirmations on Season 3.
Remember, Season 2 of 1000-Lb. Sisters almost didn’t happen
For a period of time, Season 2 of 1000-Lb. Sisters was a “no go.” In fact, most fans remember both Amy and Tammy Slaton noting on various social media platforms that Season 2 of the series wasn’t going to happen. Things changed, however, and TLC decided to renew the series for a second season. Fans can only assume Amy’s pregnancy likely played a huge role in the decision. Fans desperately wanted to follow the pregnancy. And, thanks to Season 2 of the series, they were able to do just that.
Unfortunately, Season 2 did put some limitations on Amy Halterman and her family. Namely, they weren’t allowed to share certain aspects of their lives until after they aired on television. So, fans were a little surprised to learn Gage was actually three months old after this week’s episode aired.
The Season 2 Finale of 1000-Lb. Sisters airs this week. So, it makes sense that fans have started blasting both Amy and Tammy for information about Season 3. As we’ve previously reported, the Slaton sisters do a pretty decent job of spilling information they probably shouldn’t in the comments on social media. So, that’s definitely a good place to look for info. The question is: do we know anything about a new season just yet?
Tammy Slaton responds to questions about more new episodes via TikTok
In the comments of one of her TikTok videos, Tammy Slaton did respond to a fan asking about Season 3 of 1000-Lb. Sisters. Unfortunately, the answer did not provide as much info as fans were hoping for. In fact, all it really confirmed was that Tammy had no idea if a Season 3 of the series was happening. It, however, is worth noting the question Tammy Slaton answered was whether or not she would be a part of Season 3.
Not whether or not a Season 3 would happen. She admitted that she didn’t know if she would have anything to do with a third season. So, this creates a whole different question. Would they do a Season 3 of the series without her? Or, what about a spin-off featuring just Amy, Michael, and baby Gage? Is that something fans would want to see?
1000-Lb. Sisters: Canceled or Renewed?
Fans are desperate to know if TLC will cancel or renew 1000-Lb. Sisters for another season. Unfortunately, as we mentioned previously, this isn’t the kind of information this network likes to just hand out. We, however, do know that 1000-Lb. Sisters was extremely popular this season. The fan groups on Facebook have been booming with chatter. And, the show itself picks up some trending steam every time a new episode airs. So, TLC would only benefit from renewing the series for another season.
