Alum Says Season 25 Ladies Aren’t ‘Likable’ Enough For ‘Bachelor In Paradise’

ABC will soon be looking to cast a new season of Bachelor in Paradise. While the network has yet to announce a new season for sure, it is extremely likely to happen. Matt James’ season of The Bachelor has quite a few possible candidates. However, BiP vet Blake Horstmann isn’t sure the women of Season 25 are the right fit.

Season 25 Women Not ‘Likable’ Enough For BiP?

After failing to win Becca Kufrin’s heart on Season 14 of The Bachelorette, Blake Horstmann tried his luck in Paradise. He came under fire for previously having relationships or flirtation with several of the female competitors. Blake had previous entanglements with Hannah Godwin, Kristina Shulman and Caelynn Miller-Keyes.

So, he knows a thing or two about what kind of women the viewers want to watch. And from what he’s seen of The Bachelor, Matt James’ cast-offs aren’t it.

Blake Horstmann was a recent guest on Us Weekly’s Here for the Right Reasons podcast. Like Bachelor Nation fans, Blake found Season 25 very frustrating. The focus on bullying and cattiness in the house showed some of the women in the worst light.

In fact, in Blake’s view, they aren’t “likable” enough to appear on Bachelor in Paradise.

However, he doesn’t think the women are horrible people. Rather, he blames the producers for what they chose to air on the show. During the Women Tell All episode, viewers saw three blooper clips from never-before-seen dates. Blake said that he found the women much more likable in those three clips than what ABC showed the rest of the season.

Would Blake Horstmann Do Another Season of Bachelor in Paradise

After appearing on two Bachelor Nation shows, would Blake Horstmann go back for more? It depends on who the network brings to Paradise. During the podcast chat, he admitted he would be “scared” of some of the women from Season 25. He wonders if he would “get bullied” or otherwise “not get along” with some of the former contestants.

He doesn’t give a firm no about if he would do another season of Bachelor in Paradise. Fans are hopeful that Bennett Jordan from Tayshia Adams’ season of The Bachelorette will show up in BiP. He is one former contestant that is likely a shoo-in for another show with the franchise, according to exec Robert Mills.

ABC has yet to announce any formal plans for Bachelor in Paradise. There wasn’t a season last summer because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Now the network has a new dilemma – who should host new seasons of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. Chris Harrison temporarily took a step back from his hosting duties. He is rumored to give a public statement later this week. It will be the first time he’s spoken out since February 13th.

Do you agree that the women of Season 25 came across as unlikable? Are there any you’d like to see on Bachelor in Paradise? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
