Rivers Waldrop - the sextuples

Rivers Waldrop, one of the Sweet Home Sextuplets kids really develops her own personality these days. TLC fans all know that her brother Blu’s the wild child in the family. And sometimes Rivers disappears in the mayhem. But more often these days, Courtney shares photos and clips of her three-year-old daughter. This weekend, she shared some clips that revealed her daughter makes for an adorable sleepy girl.

Rivers Waldrop the little night owl

We reported that Rivers enjoys staying up late. One night, Courtney found her wide awake at midnight. Like her brothers and sisters, the Sweet Home Sextuplets mom expected to find her asleep. But when she asked her why she stayed awake, Rivers Waldrop just told her mom she “waited on her.” Courtney said that it looks like her daughter takes after her. She’s also a bit of a night owl. Pointing out how her little girl differs from the other kids, she also added, “Y’all there is no other like her!! She is a stinken mess!!”

As her personality develops, Rivers Waldrop seems like a very charming little girl. In another post that her mom shared, the cute kid grooved away to the music in their car. She really got into the vibe with Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody. Her mom said that she really enjoys dancing. And fans just love that sort of content as it’s innocent and makes people feel happy. After all, these days it’s not hard to look around for sad and ugly stuff on TV and social media.

Adorable sleepy girl tries staying awake

In her latest Instagram Story, Courtney revealed Rivers sitting up trying not to fall asleep. Maybe she burned off too much energy dancing. Or, possibly, she stayed awake late the night before. Clearly, the little tyke really needed her bed. But she seemed determined to keep her eyes open.

Is Rivers Waldrop getting enough sleep? Maybe she tries staying awake at night and that means she simply misses out on much-needed rest. According to Raising Children Net, kids at the ages of three to five need about 10 to 13 hours of sleep. The site offers some tips for kids who stay awake after their bedtime. These include avoiding “boisterous play as well as watching TV… near bedtime.”

The Sweet Home Sextuplets mom might try and “establish a consistent, calming bedtime routine.” Apparently, it also helps if kids like Rivers Waldrop sleep in a room with a dim light and a comfortable temperature. Sometimes, kids might worry about a scary thing like a spider, or have other fears on their minds. The site suggests that parents discuss any such fears quietly and reassure them they need not worry.
