‘7 Little Johnstons’ Season 8 Ends – When Does It Return?
7 Little Johnstons just ended the mid-season show, so when can we expect more of the little family on TLC? Fans saw that mom Amber and dad Trent confronted Jonah. Fans previously saw some awkward moments when Ashley, his girlfriend visited. So, they more or less expected the confrontation. That confrontation paves the way for another season of the show.
7 Little Johnstons ended with a new storyline for another season
Prior to the February 16 episode, we reported that the show explored the intimate lives of Amber and Trent. Actually, a lot of people felt unhappy with it. And, fans wondered how the parents could be so prudish when Jonah’s girlfriend Ashley visited. Jonah’s now 21, but they wouldn’t allow the young lovers to share a bedroom. Ashley’s visit came when he took a break from college during the coronavirus pandemic.
The vibe during her visit seemed a bit cold toward Ashley. Dating for a year now, they seem quite serious. And Ashley told the camera that they discussed moving in together. But she admitted they both hold off for now. It might be a bit “too soon for that next step of commitment.” Naturally, fans wondered if they will take it to the next step. After all, for once, 7 Little Johnstons‘ star Jonah looked less surly during Ashey’s visit. And that brings a potential storyline for another season.
Will there be another season? When will it return?
In the mid-season finale on February 16, fans saw that Jonah became surly all over again after Ashley left. And Trent and Amber seem sick of it. So once again, he sat down with them for a heart-to-heart. Only this time, Jonah’s parents didn’t muck about with vague threats. They literally want him out of the house. Hollywood Life reminds readers that Amber said that the parents feel Jonah won’t learn financial responsibility unless he becomes independent.

The 7 Little Johnstons’ mom and dad gave him three months to move out. Amber said, “As hard as it will be… it be incredibly hard for us. We will have to sit back and watch you fail. Even if it goes all the way to getting evicted from your house.” Well, when Jonah returns to college, then he and Ashley might move up the idea of taking their relationship to the next level. So, that storyline could come in a new season. And, fans don’t need to wait too long for it. Hollywood Life reports that it returns later this year. Additionally, some of the other older kids ponder leaving home as well.
