‘Bachelor’ Alum Lesley Murphy Welcomes First Child
Bachelor alum Lesley Murphy is a mom. Lesley and fiancé Alex Kavanagh welcomed their baby girl to the world today. The couple announced their engagement just last February. Now, one year later they are parents.

The couple announced to the world today their daughter was here. She was born February 12. The couple went to Instagram Thursday to share Lesley was in labor. She shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed hooked up to the baby monitors. She was fondly looking down at her stomach and grinning ear to ear.
Lesley captioned the photo saying, “It’s all happening on the iciest day of the year when our driveway decided to freeze over😆Cue @drone.pilot pouring hot water everywhere. Of course it would happen this way! Here we go! #babykav #aquarius.” She also shared a video of Alex dousing the driveway with an ice chest full of hot water to melt the ice.
Today, Lesley wrote on Instagram stories saying, “Baby girl Kavanagh is here! She is healthy and beautiful, and we are filled with pure wonder and awe to be in her presence. Thank you so much for the love and prayers!!! Mom and Dad are doing amazing, just in need of some rest:) Can’t wait to update you soon.”
All about her pregnancy and Alex
Lesley and Alex announced their pregnancy to the world in September 2020. She went to social media to share herself and Alex dancing in the kitchen. She said, “Started from the kitchen now we’re here👩❤️👨👼🏼.” Lesley continued saying, “Baby Kavanagh taking flight in 2021! Finally someone to occupy the middle seat :). @drone.pilot and I couldn’t be more excited to grow our little family!!!”
In October, they shared with the world the intimate moment when she surprised him with the baby gender. When he walked in the door she was standing there with tons of pink everywhere. Lesley went to Instagram to share the moment with fans. She said, “Excited to announce…We’re having a BABY GIRL!!!!💝 This is how I surprised Alex that the future is female🎉🎉🎉.”
It’s not been easy for Lesley and Alex to postpone their wedding plans amid the ongoing pandemic. However, she knows her day will come soon. And now their daughter will be there to enjoy it and witness her mommy and daddy making it official.
