Jill Dillard rolls up her sleeves and tackles another home project at the moment. Recently, she took her youngest son Sam shopping at the Potters House Thrift Shop. And now it becomes clear why they went there. Taking to her Instagram stories on February 2, she shared that she sorts out all the boys’ clothes and toys. The kids shoot up so fast that they didn’t make it through the season without needing new clothes.

Jill Dillard gets stuck doing a home project involving her boys

We reported this week, that the Counting On alum took little Sam shopping. He fell in love with a nice pair of soft PJs. And, he wouldn’t let them go. He looked so cute as he clutched them, making sure his mom kept them in the shopping basket until checkout. Well, while she just told fans they went there for a meet-up and some retail therapy with her cousin Amy, it seems that her boys really need some new clothes. In her stories, she said that she’s “going through the clothes” as they didn’t even “make it through the season without growth spurts.”

In a second slide, Jill Dillard said that she sorts them all out. Some of them get given away. Meanwhile, the nice ones and family favorites go into storage for use as “hand-me-downs.” Don’t get too excited about the hand-me-downs going to a new sibling. After all, TLC fans know that the Duggar family members all do that. And one of the other Duggar offspring might end up using her own kids’ clothing one day. And finally, in a third slide, the Counting On alum said she’s gonna tackle the clothes first and then get work on the toys. Well, with the toys, Sam and Israel might have their input as well. After all, kids become so attached to some toys.

Israel, Sam, Jill and Derick read about learning ‘love language’

In other news, Jill took some time off from her home project and shared that she and Derick read a special book to the boys. Called The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman, it comes highly recommended. In fact, the books come in a series and focus on love and relationships. If they read it to the kids, they probably bought the one called 5 Love Languages Of Children: The Secret To Loving Children Effectively. In her caption, Jill said, “pray for your people and find ways to praise them for specific things.” She added, “learn their love language and look for ways to show them love!”

Many Duggar fans liked the idea of reading their own kids the same book that Jill Dillard and Derick chose. They all love the idea of loving their family. However, not everyone really knows how they should proactively go about showing it.
