Audrey Roloff talks about intimacy

In the book, Audrey opens up about her intimate life with her husband. She explains that she and Jeremy waited until marriage to be intimate with one another. Then, she talks about how they honored each other, saying:

“It’s honoring the person who is to be their spouse one day and not creating confusion or stirring up feelings that will cloud judgment as you discern whether you will be each other’s partner for life.”

The former TLC star goes on to describe how they were able to wait until marriage. They set boundaries, which she goes into detail about, writing, “For example, setting an alarm for when we would say goodbye for the night, finding a friend or mentor who would hold us accountable (and telling them when we would be spending time with each other, particularly at night), not lying down together when watching movies, not watching anything with nudity (together or separately).”

Lastly, Audrey writes that “intimacy is a gift to be given within the context of marriage, shared between two people for the purpose of unity. We believe it is a gift to be guarded, savored, and celebrated.”

The book includes additional details about intimacy, as well as Audrey and Jeremy’s goal in staying “pure” until marriage. This is just one of the many marriage-related topics she and Jeremy address in the book.
