Justin Hartley, Chrishell Stause Divorce Final: Did They Have A Prenup?
On Thursday, Justin Hartley and Chrishell Stause finalized their divorce. What do we know about the division of assets. Moreover, did they have a prenup prior to their lavish October 2017 wedding?
We have a few details. Are you ready to dive in?
Justin Hartley And Chrishell Stause Divorce Settled
On Wednesday, Justin Hartley and Chrishell Stause officially finalized their divorce. According to US Magazine, a source shared that the former couple agreed to the term of the divorce. That includes “spousal support.” How long is Justin paying support to Chrishell? Is it a matter of years, or until she remarries or reaches an income threshold? They did not have any children. Usually, they give support until the child is of a certain age.
Unfortunately, there is no information on these details. However, this is a very private divorce, and what was agreed upon is a “confidential settlement.” That means no facts or figures were revealed. But we can venture a guess.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Hartley makes about $250,000 per episode of This Is Us. They state that Hartley’s net worth is about $7 million dollars. They both live in California. That is a state where assets are generally split in half. By all reports, Chrishell did leave their mini-mansion, which was purchased in 2019, months before the This Is Us star blindsided Chrishell by filing for divorce.
Did they sign any sort of paperwork prior to their wedding? That could make a difference on how much Chrishell could expect.
Did Justin Hartley And Chrishell Stause Have A Prenup?
The one big question on everyone’s mind is whether or not the couple signed a prenup before their 2017 wedding.
They did not.
Again, because of the secretive nature of their divorce, inquiring minds will not know figures, but they can venture a guess. In general, California divorce law divides any assets, acquired in marriage, in half. But, there may be some consideration of how long the couple was together. They started dating in October, 2013. So, at the time Justin filed for divorce, they were together for six years.
Unfortunately, an explanation for Justin’s unusual date of separation may never be revealed. Fans who were dishing on the couple’s shock split were perplexed when Hartley listed their date of separation as July 8, 2019, not November 30, the actual date that Hartley filed for divorce. Could this have made a difference in the final settlement?

Moved On
In the past year, both Chrishell and Justin have moved on with new loves. Back in 2020, Justin was seen kissing Sofia Pernas outside of an LA Orthopedic day clinic. He was having some sort of surgery on his shoulder, and she was his driver.
Chrishell has moved on from Justin Hartley as well. When she was on Dancing With The Stars, she met dance pro, Keo Motsepe.
