Last month the announcement came that a new streaming service was throwing its hat into the already-crowded ring. Discovery Inc. announced a new streaming service, Discovery+. However, the media giant owns more than just the Discovery Channel. Accordingly, other popular cable channels, such as TLC, Animal Planet and HGTV all fall under the Discovery Inc. umbrella.

With just days until the launch of the platform, fans may be curious about what to expect and which streaming titles are dropping in January. Furthermore, the roll-out of 50 original shows will be spread out, with 1,000 hours of new content in 2021.

Discovery+ Mixes Old With New

Fans can expect new 90 Day Fiance spin-offs. Other new content includes spin-offs of Gold Rush, Househunters, Long Island Medium and more! Reality TV fanatics stuck at home will never run out of things to watch on Discovery+.

In addition to original shows, the streaming giant will include 50,000+ hours of older shows from networks such as TLC, Food Network, ID and OWN.

Hours of original content will be available for subscribers when Disney+ launches on January 4, 2021. Some of the upcoming shows include Amy Schumer Learns to Cook, House Hunters: Comedians on Couches Unfiltered starring Whitney Cummings, Seth Rogan and more comedians, plus Christina Anstead’s Christina: Stronger By Design show. Additionally, Friends star David Schwimmer narrates Mysterious Planet. Meanwhile, Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe is back with Six Degrees with Mike Rowe.

Tell All Special Replaced By 90 Day Fiance Bares All Spin-Off

90 Day Fiance and its various spin-offs are arguably one of TLC’s biggest hits. In fact, earlier this year, the network promised fans even more spinoffs. And they did not disappoint. Discovery+ will have four new 90 Day Fiance spin-offs.

Debuting on January 4th, 2021, the spinoffs include: 90 Day Fiance Bares All, 90 Day Diaries, 90 Day Journey and The Other Way Strikes Back.

Cable viewers were disappointed when 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 2 ended in November without the usual Tell All episode. Fans will get the chance to catch up with the Season 2 cast on 90 Day Fiance Bares All. In a preview clip, Brittany makes shocking allegations against Yazan. Watch the promo below.

How Much Does Discovery+ Cost?

Many people still pay a good chunk of change for traditional cable, plus extra for streaming services. Discovery+ will have two pay tiers. For $4.99/month, streamers can get all the content, but will have to sit through ads. For $6.99/month, viewers can stream all their favorite shows without ads.

A lot of 90 Day Fiance fans are not happy that they will have to pay extra to watch the continuation of the popular series.

While a lot of new content will stream exclusively on Discovery+, networks like TLC and the Discovery Channel will also air separate content on traditional cable.
