Why Isn’t A New Episode Of ‘Shameless’ On This Weekend?
Fans staying up to watch a new episode of Shameless Season 11 tonight are in for a bit of a disappoint. Why? Well, you won’t see Showtime drop Shameless Season 11, Episode 4 just after midnight like you normally would. Likewise, you won’t see this episode air Sunday night on Showtime either.
Shameless is taking a bit of a break for the holidays. Which is pretty typical of any show airing new episodes around Christmas.
So, when will we see a new episode of Shameless Season 11?
Fortunately for those who are upset about not getting a new episode tonight… You won’t have to wait too long. Season 11, Episode 4 is titled “NIMBY.” The episode has a release date of Sunday, January 10th. Here’s the official synopsis for the upcoming episode:
The Milkoviches move in next door and wreak havoc, leading Frank, Kev and Liam to scheme to get rid of them; Mickey embarks on a security gig for Kev and V and drags Ian along; Gemma and Franny compete in the Little Miss South Side beauty pageant.”
Now, Showtime hasn’t let fans up the creek without a paddle completely. Technically, Showtime will drop something new in the streaming library. Something called Shameless Hall of Shame.
What the heck is Shameless Hall of Shame?
According to Deadline, Shameless Hall of Shame is a companion series that is intended to extend the final season of the Showtime hit series. The companion series isn’t intended to be brand new story lines. Nor is it intended to be another season of the show. It is intended to be a look back at the history of Shameless. The greatest hits. (Hence the name Hall of Shame).
Shameless Hall of Shame will take a look at backstories. Backstories of each of the main characters. And, how they grew over the past ten seasons. Shameless Hall of Shame Episode 1 will focus on everyone’s favorite couple — Gallavich.
“Covid has taken a toll on newlyweds everywhere and Ian and Mickey are no different. When someone from Ian’s past dies, Mickey has to accept the facts about Ian’s past relationships, the dynamics of their relationship and the men they both married.” The synopsis of the episode featuring Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Mickey (Noel Fisher) reads.

Previous episodes of Season 11 are available for streaming
Fans are free to rewatch the first three episodes of Season 11 as long as they have Showtime. The first ten seasons of Shameless re also available via Netflix.
