It’s A Wonderful Lifetime is closing out with My Sweet Holiday. This Christmas movie stars Malone Thomas (Ozark) and Jason Burkey (Doom Patrol). This is a story about finding perfection in the imperfect.
What Is Lifetime’s My Sweet Holiday About?
According to TVLine, Lifetime’s My Sweet Holiday starts out with Sadie (Thomas), who is disappointed in love again. Her boyfriend canceled their holiday plans. So, she decides to head back to her hometown and spend Christmas with her parents.
Turns out, her folks have some news that also disappoints her. They have sold their chocolate store, Annadors. The new owner is a complete stranger! Worse yet, he knows absolutely nothing about chocolate. This is sacrilegious to Sadie. Moreover, she is now stuck helping him learn how to make chocolates. Her dad thinks she is perfect because she knows everything about chocolate.
Turns out, Alex (Burkey) is a great guy. He is reliable and he follows through with his promises. Alex is completely opposite of her ex. Dare Sadie say that he is…perfect?
Besides training Alex, Sadie is also in charge of planning her parents’ “perfect retirement party.” Pretty soon, she learns that being perfect is not necessary to be happy. Moreover, love doesn’t need to perfect to be right. Love is pretty sweet.
Originally, My Sweet Holiday was called Chocolate Covered Christmas.
Be sure to catch the premiere of Lifetime’s My Sweet Holiday, on Friday, December 25, at 8 p.m. Eastern.
