Gigolo “Giggy” Vanderpump is perhaps a bigger Bravo star than Lisa Vanderpump. The Pomeranian was a staple in the early seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In fact, the diminutive dog went anywhere Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd went, including red carpets and dinner with celebs.

On Saturday, December 12, Lisa Vanderpump shared heartbreaking news with her social media followers. Giggy passed away earlier that morning.

Giggy Was a Fixture on RHOBH

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered 10 years ago on Bravo. Viewers were introduced to Lisa Vanderpump, her husband Ken Todd, and her small dog with a big attitude. Paris Hilton made ‘purse dogs’ famous a few years earlier. However, Giggy was more than just a purse dog.

Dressed to the nines and impeccably groomed, Giggy was a star in his own right. He appeared with Bravolebrities in Lady Gaga’s “G.U.Y.” video.

Bustle reports that Giggy had his own contract with Bravo. He even has his own IMDb page.

All About Giggy

Giggy Vanderpump was just a young pup when RHOBH began. In 2018, Lisa Vanderpump told Bravo’s The Daily Dish that Giggy was eight-years-old. That would mean he was 10 when he passed away.

As RHOBH fans know, Giggy had medical problems that required clothing to keep him warm and covered. For one, he had a serious heart condition that made his body unable to retain warmth. That explains his stylish outfits!

According to Bustle, Giggy was a birthday gift for Lisa Vanderpump in 2009. But he wasn’t a California native. Furthermore, the outlet reports that Giggy was born in West Virginia, which Lisa Vanderpump confirmed on Twitter.

Giggy isn’t the only Vanderpump dog. Lisa Vanderpump has several other dogs, including two golden retrievers. Another Pomeranian, Puffy, is often mistaken for Giggy in photos.

Lisa Vanderpump ‘Devastated’ Over Loss

On December 12, Lisa Vanderpump took to her social media to share the sad news about Giggy. On Twitter, she shared two photos of the Pom pup, along with a heartfelt caption. In the caption, she writes that she is “devastated to say that our beloved Giggy passed away this morning.”

Moreover, she credits the tiny dog with inspiring her to start Vanderpump Dogs dog rescue. Earlier this summer, she announced a Vanderpump Dogs spin-off with Peacock TV streaming service.

The RHOBH alum assures fans that “Giggy’s legacy lives on with every dog.”
