COVID-19 has run rampant through the country. Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba recently announced she too tested positive for the virus. She posted a video on her Instagram page updating fans.

In the video, she describes her symptoms and does not seem like she feels well at all. Fans are used to the bright, bubbly Carrie Ann Inaba they see each week on Dancing With The Stars, but this is a very different version of her. She says she did everything right and still caught the virus anyway. It really could happen to anyone.

“Hey Everyone, I have tested positive for COVID 19. I’m home with some symptoms and will be sequestering as per the CDC guidelines, resting and taking care of myself. (Swipe to hear the whole video),” she captioned the video. “I have been in a very safe environment following all the guidelines and safety protocols and it still found it’s [sic] way to me. So, this is a friendly reminder to be extra careful this holiday season. Wear your masks, socially and physically keep your distance, and wash your hands. Take care everyone. And I’ll keep you updated on my journey.”

It’s excellent news that Carrie Ann doesn’t feel worse. She suffers from multiple autoimmune diseases that can a person at an increased risk for developing COVID-19 complications. She began losing her hair and chose to wear wigs during Dancing With The Stars this year.

The Dancing With The Stars Community Showered Her With Love

Plenty of Dancing With The Stars fans and stars left their well wishes for the judge on the Instagram video.

“Omg @carrieanninaba I’m so sad seeing this. Send you lots of recovery love 💕,” said pro dancer Emma Slater.

“❤️ Thinking of you,” wrote Kaitlyn Bristowe, the Season 29 champion. Kaitlyn and Carrie Ann butted heads a few times on this season of DWTS, but buried the hatchet by the end of the season.

More Information

Dancing With The Stars tried to keep the virus from spreading on set. No group numbers were allowed this year and there was no live audience. There are many married couples that work as pro dancers, and ABC made them all quarantine apart while they competed on the show. The Season 29 finale aired more than two weeks ago, so it’s not likely Carrie Ann caught it while on set.

If you would like to stay updated on Carrie Ann Inaba’s condition, be sure to follow her on Instagram. She may feel terrible, but her Dancing With The Stars family definitely has her back. Hopefully, she feels better very soon.
