’90 Day Fiance’ Finally Has Its Own Podcast, Colt Johnson Is 1st Guest
The popularity of 90 Day Fiance has led to several unofficial podcasts. Some of those include The Fraudcast, 90 Day Fiance Cray Crazy, and 90 Day Fiance Trash Talk. So, it would make sense for TLC to launch its own podcast. But instead of recaps and trash talk, you’ll get interviews with the reality stars themselves.
It’s a new way for fans to keep up with their favorite show. The podcast will kick off on Tuesday, December 1. The weekly podcast will include exclusive content and interviews with cast members and special guests. And it turns out that Colt Johnson will be the first guest.
TLC launches new podcast
The podcast will make its launch on December 1, just in time for the December 6 premiere of 90 Day Fiance Season 8. TLC decided to launch its new podcast at the height of the growing popularity. Every Tuesday, “TLC insiders” Mike and Alexa will break down the latest episodes and discuss the drama that goes on.
Fans will also hear exclusive content with past and current cast members. And they’ll also get some discussions on the trials and tribulations of cross-cultural relationships, language barriers, and long-distance love. 90 Day Fiance: The Podcast will also include special announcements and varying perspectives that should satisfy fans. It’s unlike other podcasts on the market.
“We have continued to feed the 90 Day superfan appetite with franchise expanders, yet there was one platform left untapped, until now,” said Cameron Curtis, Vice President, Multi-Platform Strategy & Digital Media, TLC. “We’re excited to bring viewers even further under the 90 Day tent, up-close and personal with our 90 Day couples as they share their international love stories in this intimate, unvarnished way.”
Colt Johnson is the first guest
The TLC star will be the first celebrity guest on the podcast. As fans know, the 35-year-old appeared on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance with Larissa Dos Santos Lima. He returned on Seasons 4 and 5 of Happily Ever After. And then he returned on Season 2 of Pillow Talk with his mother, Debbie.
Little is known about Johnson’s interview. According to TV Insider, he will take a look back at his most memorable moments from the franchise. It’s also likely that he will also give an update on his own relationship status. While Johnson is not a fan-favorite, some fans may be curious to see what he has to say.
