Why Is ‘Bachelorette’ Tayshia Adams Glad She & Clare Crawley Didn’t Speak Pre-Show?
Now that everyone knows exactly what went down on The Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams is speaking out. She is dishing on things fans have been anxious to know. One thing many wondered is if she and Clare Crawley were able to speak before Tayshia took over. That would be a big no. And, Tayshia says she is actually pretty happy they didn’t communicate. Why is that?
Tayshia is happy she and Clare didn’t speak
US Weekly spoke with Tayshia who dished out the answer to the question. She said production kept the two leads apart and they never spoke. She quarantined alone then once Clare became engaged, they moved Tayshia into the El Presidente Suite.
And, while many may think she would have liked to talk to Clare, that actually isn’t the case. Tayshia says even if she would have had the opportunity she isn’t sure what she would have said. And, she explained why.
She said, “Even if I did have the opportunity, I don’t know if I would have asked [anything]. This is the thing, I have learned that you have to give everybody a chance and you never know what that’s going to look like. It might not look like the same for you as it did for somebody else.”
So, while in other interviews she has said she wishes Clare would have warned her about some of the men, she’s actually glad it didn’t happen. She admits she didn’t really mean that. Tayshia knows she needed to make her own conclusions about the men.

Since filming Clare has been in touch
Tayshia says that she and Clare have now been in touch. She said, “We have been in communication. But I think at the same time, like, just having respect for each other’s experiences has been really, really nice.”
She also admits that while quarantining at home she never thought this would be a call she’d get. So, Tayshia says she looked up Clare’s guys when they were originally announced in March, but has not since. And, she’s glad she didn’t look again after getting the call. In the end, she is happy with the men that were there to greet her.
She said, “I couldn’t have asked for, like, a better group of men. I’ve always said that I want an older, more mature man that has depth and all of these guys have exactly that. It was, like, perfect.”
