Kelly Clarkson Reveals Why She Is Sporting An Eye Patch on ‘The Voice’
Kelly Clarkson is sporting a new eye patch on The Voice and fans are wondering why. ET explained why Kelly had this on and no it wasn’t just an accessory. It turns out that she needed it for a medical reason. Luckily, Kelly is doing okay now and that eye patch is gone. You can catch the singer on The Voice on NBC.

Kelly Clarkson actually shared what happened. She said, “So obviously today you’re going to notice something different about me. I feel like I could be a really great super villain. Something got in my eye and it got a little infected, so I have to wear an eye patch.”

Luckily, it wasn’t really a big deal. It turns out that she thinks it may have even happened to her while she was filming The Voice.
Kelly shares the possible cause of infection
Kelly Clarkson does think she might know what caused the infection, though. It turns out that dust is not her friend. Here is what she had to say about it.
“We did this long shoot for The Voice and I was up in this window. These buildings out here on the Universal lot are all dusty and I’m highly allergic to dust. Well, something had gotten in my eye… and maybe cut it, did something. It got infected… When it first happened it was so puffy. I was like, ‘What am I supposed to do?'”
Kelly went on to explain that she had to wear the patch all day. She happened to have on black clothing that day too. It is what it is, though. None of this kept Kelly Clarkson from working, though. She was still at the set of The Voice all the time. She also kept doing her talk show during this time. On her talk show, Kelly Clarkson apologized for looking like a pirate, but she looked great.
Kelly has been going through a lot lately. She is getting a divorce, but you couldn’t even tell. The singer is still just pushing through. A lot of fans were shocked to see her with the eye patch and are glad to hear that it wasn’t a big deal.
