Hallmark’s ‘Christmas Waltz’ Has Lacey Chabert, Will Kemp Dancing Into Our Hearts
What if Dancing With The Stars merged with a Hallmark Christmas movie? Then, you would get Christmas Waltz! Starring Lacey Chabert (Christmas In Rome), and Will Kemp (Spinning Out).
What Is Hallmark’s Christmas Waltz About?
In 2020, Hallmark has stretched their Countdown To Christmas storylines, and Christmas Waltz is no exception. According to their press release, Avery’s (Chabert) “storybook wedding” has been canceled. She has no wedding, no groom and all of her future hopes destroyed. Her life has been thrown into disarray.
What she does have is her dance lessons. Enter dance instructor Roman (Kemp), who convinces her to take those 10 lessons. She did buy them from Nicky (JT Church). And they were his very first sale. But, it is Roman’s irreverence that seems to wake up that dead feeling inside of her. Most of all, he gets her to get rid of the perfect, which is what holds her back.
As dance partners, they learn to trust the other. Soon, they learn to move gracefully together on the dance floor, and in business. See, Avery can help Roman achieve some pretty big dreams too. But, something from the past may keep the two from moving toward forever.
The Young and The Restless alum, Michael Damian, both wrote the Christmas Waltz script, and directed the Hallmark movie.
Dancing With The Stars: Junior JT Church Stars In Christmas Waltz!
There is another DWTS touch in Christmas Waltz. Dancing With The Stars: Junior’s JT Church stars in this Hallmark Christmas movie. On Instagram, he shared his thanks and appreciation to cast, director Michael Damian and crew. That is because this was his first movie! He plays Nicky.
JT wrote, “I just got back from Canada and filming my role in #ChristmasWaltz for @hallmarkchannel! I had an AMAZING time and I’m so grateful for this opportunity! Special thanks to @therealmichaeldamian and @janeendamian for taking a chance on me in my first movie 🙏🏼 I loved playing the role of “Nicky” and I learned so much from both of you! Lacey Chabert, Will Kemp Reunite
Will Kemp and Lacey Chabert have previously co-starred together. They were in Hallmark’s Love, Romance & Chocolate. This Valentine’s-themed movie took place in Belgium, where Will played chocolatier Luc Simon. Lacey played ad exec, Emma Colvin. As in Christmas Waltz, she is dumped right before a big event. This time, it is her boyfriend, right before a romantic trip to Bruges, Belgium.
Pretty soon, Emma’s vacation turns into a chocolate making spree. Together, Luc and Emma create the “most romantic” chocolate in a royal contest. Lacey and Will have great chemistry together!
