‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Reveals She’s Been With New BF ‘Much Longer’ Than Fans Know
90 Day Fiance fans are very familiar with Deavan Clegg. The demise of her marriage to Jihoon Lee is playing out on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. But most of the drama has been happening on social media. Much of the contention has been about their son, Taeyang. Deavan also has a daughter, Drascilla, from a previous relationship.
Earlier this summer, fans began to read rumors of a split between Deavan and Jihoon after she returned to the U.S. from his home country of South Korea. But they both played coy about the rumors, not wanting to spoil the show or break their NDA contracts.
In late August, confirmation came that they did, indeed, split up. Around that time, Deavan went Instagram official with her new boyfriend, actor Topher Park.
When Did 90 Day Fiance’s Deavan Move On From Jihoon?
Fans had high hopes for Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg’s relationship. However, his immaturity and money woes quickly soured fans on the 90 Day Fiance stars. But still, fans were taken aback when Deavan posted a photo to her Instagram Stories of her cozying up to a new man.
Fans quickly identified the interloper as Topher Park. Many fans assumed that the relationship was just beginning. In fact, they slammed Deavan for introducing her children to her new boyfriend.
But it turns out that the couple have been together “much longer” than fans think. Earlier this week, Deavan took to her Instagram Stories to SLAM Jihoon. She wrote a series of long posts telling fans the truth of their situation.
A few of her revelations include that Jihoon has her blocked from all communication, that she receives death threats because of his behavior, and that she’s had to move several times because of the threats.
But her most shocking revelation was buried in one of the missives. She wrote, “As for my relationship we’ve been together much longer than people assume because we didn’t go public. Due to protecting the show.”
So, her relationship with Topher isn’t as new as fans think! How did they meet?
Topher and Deavan Met on a Plane
The 90 Day Fiance star recently held a Q&A on her Instagram Stories. She answered some questions from fans about her relationship. According to Screen Rant, that includes how they met. Reportedly, the now-couple spotted each other on a plane. A plane to South Korea, no less!
She didn’t elaborate on when, exactly, they started dating. However, Deavan did reveal that their first date was “a quarantine date” at Topher’s place. It was during the time restaurants in L.A. were shut down to the pandemic. That narrows the timeline down some, but doesn’t pinpoint an exact timeframe.
