Tamra Judge is opening up about her experience with skin cancer. She first spoke out about it in 2017. Now, in a new interview, she reflected back on her health diagnosis. The reality star said that she wasn’t the first person to notice her skin cancer.

Tamra noticed a mole on her butt that was diagnosed as melanoma. Her massage therapist pointed it out to her, which she revealed in the interview. In 2017, Tamra decided to get a massage in between filming RHOC. The massage therapist informed her to get the “little tiny black dot” checked out.

Now, Tamra is recalling what happened.

Tamra Judge talks about her melanoma diagnosis

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about her melanoma diagnosis. She also encouraged her fans to help support the American Cancer Society.

“I was actually filming in 2017,” Tamra said. “We had some time off, so decided to get a massage in my room. So the masseuse told me, ‘Oh, you have this little tiny black dot.’ And it was literally on my butt, like, the side of my butt. And she goes, ‘I think if I were you, I would get that checked out.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, OK.’ And I didn’t think anything of it.”

Tamra didn’t immediately take action. But, she eventually visited her dermatologist and asked her about the spot.

“She did the biopsy. And about a week later, she calls me, and she’s like, ‘It’s melanoma,'” Tamra recalled. “I never heard those words before.”

The fitness trainer “started bawling” even though her cancer was “very treatable.” Tamra is grateful that her masseuse noticed the spot before she did. If it had gone unnoticed, the prognosis would have been severe. But Tamra admits that the journey was still difficult.

“But it was just going through the process and then just thinking, ‘OK, my body is failing me. I actually have melanoma,” she added.

A year later, Tamra underwent a second biopsy. Her doctor confirmed she was melanoma free. Thankfully, Tamra had the support of her husband Eddie Judge.
