Kourtney Kardashian doesn’t discuss politics. Normally, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star keeps her opinions to herself. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Kourtney encouraged her followers to vote. In her latest Instagram post, she revealed that she already cast her vote.

And now fans found out who she voted for. But most of them are not happy. Kourtney wasn’t shy about sharing her support. Now, she received backlash for wearing merchandise from Kanye West’s presidential campaign. The E! star had no idea that it would cause an uproar.

Kourtney Kardashian shows support for Kanye West

The Poosh founder got heat for wearing merchandise from Kanye West’s 2020 presidential campaign. Over the summer, the rapper announced that he was running for President of the United States. However, he was a few months late to the game. Kanye’s name appears in only a handful of states.

On Thursday, October 15, Kourtney Kardashian posted a photo of herself wearing a black-and-white “Vote Kanye” hat on her Instagram Stories. She also included the “Swipe Up” link to her lifestyle website, Poosh. In the article entitled “Where to Buy the Best Voter Merch,” Kourtney encourages her followers to “show your support for the 2020 election.” The article shows a wide variety of clothing and accessories, including the hat she wore in her Instagram Stories.

In a follow-up post, Kourtney posted another photo of herself wearing the same hat. But this time, she tagged the “Jesus Is King” rapper and included a link to purchase the $40 hat. It directs followers to Kanye2020.country, which is the hip-hop artist’s official presidential campaign website. Earlier this month, Kourtney retweeted Kanye’s official campaign video.

KUWTK star receives major backlash

It makes sense for Kourtney to support Kanye. He’s married to her younger sister, Kim Kardashian West. However, fans were disappointed by Kourtney’s endorsement. They took to Kourtney’s Instagram to argue that voting for Kanye takes away votes from the two major presidential candidates.

“Wow! Kourtney, I thought that you were the only Kardashian that may have a little bit of intelligence,” one fan wrote. “I was wrong!”

“It’s all about the $4 U 2. A vote 4 Kanye is a vote for 4 Trump. You only care about the tax breaks & stimulus checks,” a second fan added. “You are a multi-millionaire w/out a conscience. Sad 4 your kids.”

“Kourtney Kardashian posting an insta story to her 102 MILLION followers encouraging them to vote for Kanye is one of the most irresponsible, egregious and reckless use of that family’s platform that I’ve ever seen,” a third one wrote.

Surprisingly, Kourtney is the only one out of the family who publicly endorsed Kanye. Even Kim hasn’t endorsed him. She’s only encouraged her fans to vote across all of her social media platforms. Their little sister, Kylie Jenner, contributed to the uptick in visits to Vote.org.
