Chrissy Teigen, John Legend Reveal Pregnancy Loss
On Wednesday, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend shared the heartbreaking news that they lost their baby on the way. In the evening, Chrissy took to Instagram to share about the loss with her 31 million followers. She posted a series of black and white photos from the couple’s hospital stay.
Due to her pregnancy complications, Chrissy has been receiving blood transfusions. Unfortunately, the transfusions weren’t enough. In her Instagram post, Chrissy writes, “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
She goes on to talk about how they typically don’t name their babies until right before they head home from the hospital. But, they had come up with the name Jack for this baby and were using that name often when talking about the baby.
She continues, “So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”
In her post, Chrissy Teigen also thanks her followers for all of their love and support during this time. She also says that she is grateful for her kids. She and John Legend share two-year-old Miles and four-year-old Luna.

Chrissy Teigen’s difficult pregnancy
Chrissy and John first announced their pregnancy in August with a music video. Shortly after, Chrissy revealed that the baby on the way was a boy.
As TV Shows Ace reports, Chrissy’s pregnancy was anything but easy. Her placenta was weak. She was put on bed rest due to her placenta bleeding. This also means that the pregnancy was high risk.
In response to the news about the pregnancy loss, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s fans are sharing encouraging messages with the couple. Even though fans’ words can’t take the pain away, the support likely means a lot to Chrissy and John during this time.
