Will the real Meghan Markle and Prince Harry please stand up? This is on people’s minds as they hear of the new £112-million ($144-million) deal signed by the royals with Netflix. Meghan and Harry quit the royal family to move to the States after their long-standing battle with the British media. They labeled this battle “media intrusion.”

However, now they wish to open up and let the world know the “real them” on reality TV. English broadcaster Piers Morgan now dubs Meghan the “new Kim Kardashian” after hearing of the new Netflix documentary.

Yes, folks, after fleeing to America and wishing for privacy from the media, now Meghan and Harry want to come forth on reality TV. The former royals have been slammed with criticism since fleeing the UK. Now on top of that, they want the world to see the “real them.”

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on UK TV, broadcaster Piers Morgan gave his thoughts on the new Netflix deal. He called for Harry and Meghan to be stripped of their “Sussex” titles. This is nothing new for Morgan, who regularly makes this claim on TV.

However, it seems this time he is truly in shock. Piers also said he has spent more time in the county than either the Duke or Duchess of Sussex.

Besides wanting their royal titles removed, Piers claims Meghan is the “new Kim Kardashian.” This is as the former Hollywood star is so keen to reveal the “real her” in the new Netflix reality TV docu.

When news of the lucrative deal with Netflix came, it was believed primarily to involve voice-over work and production. However, Mirror Online quotes British newspaper The Sun as saying the Netflix show would give a “glimpse into their lives.” This comes as somewhat of a shock, as the couple has previously insisted they moved to the States to avoid media intrusion. They are often dubbed “Mr. & Mrs. Privacy” by the media.

Morgan turned to Susanna Reid, host of Good Morning Britain. He referred to her as being the “most ardent Meghan fan in the world.” Susanna responded, admitting she has been a “great defender of the Duchess.” Piers continued, asking when it will “drop” that Meghan came over to the UK, took their prince and the titles. She then returned to Hollywood, snagging a multi-million pound deal with Netflix because of this. He asks, “At what point do these scales come down from your eyes?!”

Reid did concur with Morgan. She said she thinks she has “reached the tipping point.” Susanna said she herself is a really private person. However, she says those who complain about intrusion into their privacy probably shouldn’t do this. “Having a fly-on-the-wall documentary about your private life is not the message you should be sending!”

Piers then compared Meghan to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kim. He said, “She really is the new Kim Kardashian, isn’t she?”

Royal experts call ‘hypocrisy’ over Netflix documentary

The Express quotes Ingrid Seward of Majesty Magazine. The “royal expert” said, “We were told they had gone to California for greater privacy so it all appears rather hypocritical.” She continues, “It is extraordinary. This is exactly what they said they wouldn’t do.”

So, as we wait to get a peek at this multi-million dollar “reality documentary,” we’ll have to wonder. Just how much will it reveal of Meghan and Harry’s so-called private life?
