Jamie Otis And Doug Hehner Have Not Been Intimate Since Son’s Birth
Jamie Otis met and married Doug Hehner on Married at First Sight. They continue to be happily married and just welcomed their second child four months ago. They’ve had lots going on. Jamie had some health concerns, along with postpartum depression. And, they just moved their little family to Florida. So, one thing fans can count on is Jamie always being real and open. Now, she is speaking out and admitting that she and Doug have not been intimate in awhile.
Jamie and Doug have not been intimate in over four months
People shared the scoop of what Jamie had to say on their Hot Marriage. Cool Parents. podcast. Jamie and Doug admit they have yet to have intimacy since their son was born May 13. There are a variety of reasons they have not had alone time yet. Many are due to health concerns on Jamie’s side of things.
She said, “[Someone] said, ‘Jamie, you don’t put out,’ and I wanna be like, ‘Excuse me, girlfriend. First of all, I had a 9 lb., 4 oz., baby tear me to shreds downstairs and then at my six-week appointment, I had to have a colposcopy, so I couldn’t have sex again for two weeks.” She continued, “And then I had the [loop electrosurgical excision] procedure and couldn’t have sex again for two weeks.”
She suffers from postpartum depression
Jamie also shared they have not been intimate because of her emotions. She has been depressed. She said, “I don’t feel sexy, I don’t feel hot; I’m anxious, I’m insecure.”
Jamie continued on saying, “So you’re right, I don’t put out,” Otis added. “And it’s not that I don’t love my husband immensely and it’s not that I’m not attracted to my husband — it’s that I’m not attracted to myself and that I’m depressed.”
She also pointed out how patient Doug is with her. And, it’s not that she doesn’t want to do things with him, however, she admits to being a little scared. For her it almost feels like the first time again. Jamie went on to explain that after their daughter was born they were intimate right after six weeks. However, she also wasn’t depressed after having Henley.

She said, “I’m shy and scared. I also didn’t have postpartum depression after Gracie. I can’t explain it, the way I feel. It’s not okay, and I’m trying to figure it out.”
Jamie has been seeking therapy and working on figuring out her feelings and getting better. Fans love that they can relate to her. And, many admire her openness and honesty. She isn’t afraid to share the good, bad and the ugly of their lives. She has recently been speaking out about not being ashamed of her postpartum body. Jamie is proud of what her body has done and carried her two little miracles.
