On Monday, the Duggar family announced a new courtship. The season finale of TLC’s Counting On, which airs Tuesday, September 22, will also feature the announcement.
Justin Duggar is now courting Claire Spivey. The two have known each other for about a year, but their families go way back. They have known each other for 20 years, so they met prior to both Claire and Justin being born.
Since the announcement, Justin and Claire have received both negative and positive responses. Some Counting On fans are thrilled to hear about the news. They have been speculating about a potential courtship for a while now. So, they are happy that this one is now public. They think that they make a beautiful couple and they hope for the best for them in the future.
Others have concerns about the age gap. Claire is 19, while Justin is only 17. Plus, fans also think that Justin is too young to be in a serious relationship. He will be 18 in November. Keep in mind that the Duggars court with the intent to marry. So, this isn’t a casual high school relationship. But, now fans are noticing something else about this relationship.
Duggar fans think Claire looks like Jana
On social media, several family members shared Justin and Claire’s big news. This gives Counting On fans plenty of space to voice their thoughts. In addition to talking about the age gap and Justin being so young, they are pointing out that Claire looks like Justin’s sister Jana.
They think that Jana and Claire especially look alike from the side. Someone mentioned that if Jana went brunette or Claire went blonde, they would be identical.
A couple of fans also think that Claire looks like a mix of Jessa Seewald and Jana. In the comments section, some fans seem to have a problem with it. They think it’s creepy that Justin would date someone that looks so much like his sister.
Not everyone is saying this negatively either. Many fans think Jana is pretty and they think Claire is too. One Duggar fan wrote, “Jana is gorgeous and so is Claire.”
Nonetheless, Justin and Claire seem to be happy. Fans are looking forward to watching his big announcement on the season finale of Counting On on Tuesday, September 22 at 9/8c. Don’t miss it!
