‘Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City’: Meet Jen Shah’s Husband, Sharrieff

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres on November 11. The rather interesting cast is new to the Bravo franchise. It brings six women, Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, and  Jen Shah. Now, information came out about Jen Shah’s husband, Sharrieff.

We reported that after the first teaser dropped, details started emerging about the cast of RHOSLC.  We talked about Mary Cosby, who interestingly married her grandma’s ex-husband. Meanwhile,  People reported about the rest of the cast and noted that Jen Shah owns three marking companies. She’s also an interesting character as she decided the Morom Church is not for her and converts to Islam.

Well, in any other state but Utah, that might not be a big deal. Of course, when the ladies feature on the show, their families also come into play. So, Your Tango dug into Jen Shah’s husband. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake couple, Jen and Sharrieff have been part of their community for years now, and in fact, Sharrieff attended the University of Utah.

 Sharrief’s a well-know football coach

These days, Sharrieff Shan made a name for himself as a football coach. Utahutes.com talks about a mention by CNN in 2o14. He helped some of his payers on their way to professional football. In fact, he helped “five cornerback converts into NFL players.” A former player himself, the successful coach passed on his love of the game to their son who also plays for the Utes. So, naturally, their family is very involved in the game.

While Jen grew up in Salt Lake, her husband Sharrieff hailed from Los Angeles. After he finished his studies, he went on and became a lawyer, but also worked as a reporter for the local ESPN radio. But the pull back to football overtook his desire for a legal career. So, in 2012 he accepted the coaching job. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City couple now take pride in their sons, who also enjoy the game. On Twitter, Sharrieff’s very active tweeting about his team.

Jen moves over to follow Sharrieff’s faith

Apparently, Jen Shah decided to leave the Mormon Church because of their unappealing stance toward people of color. Reportedly, she made the choice to follow Sherrief into her new Islam faith. It’s not clear, but fans of the show might see her talk about that. Again, that’s an interesting topic that fans of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City might be keen to hear more about.
