‘Shameless’ Star Shanola Hampton Supports Public Schooling & Fans Can Help Too

Shameless star Shanola Hampton jumped on her Instagram Stories this afternoon to reveal she had just dropped off her son at school. She added he was entering Pre-K. Her Instagram Stories update, however, wasn’t really about her son. Nor was it about entering Pre-K. She had another reason for hoping on her Instagram Stories. And, it had to do with teachers and public schooling. What exactly did the Shameless star want to talk about? Keep reading to find out.

Shanola Hampton appreciates public schooling and teachers.

Toward the beginning of the video clip, the Shameless star reveals she is grateful for teachers and the public school system. Then, she explains that she is a product of the public school system. Shanola Hampton sends all of her children to public schools. And, everyone in her family utilizes the public school system as well. So, she has nothing but good things to say about it.

Moreover, she also has a lot of friends and family members that work within the public school system. So, it is just something that really matters to Shanola. And, because she’s a parent… That isn’t a bad thing for her to be so passionate about! Moreover, Shameless fans find it refreshing to know she doesn’t let her celebrity status stop her from exposing her children to public schooling.

Unfortunately, her Instagram Stories video took a bit of a sad shift. She proceeded to talk about how “severely” those who work within the public school system are paid. Shanola Hampton firmly believes teachers, educators, and everyone within the public school system should be paid more than what they actually receive. Now, those who follow the Showtime actress on Instagram know she isn’t all talk. Shanola Hampton is very involved in charitable organization. She is always doing what she can to make a difference.

What is the Shameless star doing to help teachers?

Shanola Hampton proceeds to discuss how teachers must use their own money. Use their own money to pay for supplies for their classroom. And, this makes Shanola (and a lot of other people for that matter) really sad. Because teachers are important to society. And, they should not have to spend money to make money. So, Shanola is doing what she can to help people.

She’s encouraging her Shameless fans to check out her Twitter. Where she has started what she’s calling “clear the list.” She is sharing Amazon wish lists of teachers from all over the United States. And, she’s encouraging anyone who can to purchase something off the lists. After being purchased, Amazon ships the items directly to the teacher that made the wish list. This way, the teachers can get exactly what they need without breaking their own banks.
