Did Kelly Dodd Take Part in a Trump Boat Parade?
A girl can’t even go on a boat ride without it turning political! The Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd posted a seemingly innocent video of her weekend boat ride. Fans flooded the comments with accusations and political leanings. What happened?
Trump Boat Parade Sunk in Texas
It is summer and we are still in the middle of a global pandemic. People want to get out and enjoy the sun, but many states still have restrictions. Trump supporters in particular have found a creative way around the quarantine: boat parades.
They take to the open waters with their boats decked out in Trump 2020 flags and other pro-Trump signs. One such ‘Trump boat parade’ hit rough waters over the weekend. Literally.
The Trump Boat Parade on Lake Travis, Texas attracted a lot of boats. Too many for the lake (actually, reservoir) to handle! Due to the waves, many boats ended up in distress. In all, five boats sank or capsized due to the strong waves.
(Some Republicans are throwing around the theory that it was sabotage by ‘Antifa,’ but there is no evidence to back up that claim.)
Non-Trump-supporters did have a field day trolling Trump for the boats sinking. No injuries were reported, except for a few hurt egos.
Fans Think RHOC’s Kelly Dodd Took Part in a Trump Boat Parade
As RHOC fans know, Kelly Dodd is engaged to a Fox News correspondent. She is set to marry Rick Leventhal next month. Due to his employer, she often gets A LOT of backlash from fans. They assume that she agrees with the things the network reports.
In fact, she upset many of her fans in early 2020 by taking a photo op with Trump’s sons at a wedding. She told TMZ that she didn’t understand the backlash. It was only a photo, not co-signing Trump’s politics.
The RHOC star also admitted to TMZ that she didn’t vote for Trump in 2016. In fact, she says she didn’t vote at all. She recently told a fan that she doesn’t plan to vote in 2020 either.
Regardless, fans immediately attacked Kelly for taking part in a Trump boat parade. One fan slammed it as “embarrassing” if Kelly was at a pro-Trump event.
They assumed that’s where she was because the boat had an American flag on it. But that’s the ONLY flag flown on the boat.

Some fans did take to the comment section to defend Kelly from the backlash. The Blast reports that several fans wrote that Kelly has a right to support whomever she wants.
So, Was Kelly at a Trump Boat Parade With Her Fox News Boyfriend?
It’s not clear if Kelly was at a Trump boat parade. She didn’t respond to questions about her whereabouts. However, in the video clips, no other boats seem to be behind or next to the boat Kelly is on. Given that most pro-Trump boat parades attract a lot of participants, it doesn’t seem like she was at one.
Whether she supports Trump or not, RHOC fans are up in arms over Bravo bringing Kelly back for Season 15. During the coronavirus, Kelly said several offensive things.
